That'll buff out

A hole bunch of part came apart on that one. to bad looks like a nice car.

Yeah I think I'd by crying on the side of the road after that. Car looked pretty clean. I can only imagine what the aftermath is like.

Unbelievable, but another reason why dashcams are cool.

Fully independent rear end obviously. :rolling:

Must have been playing a little Kenny Rogers...."You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel" :poke:

Everyone's worse nightmare. Can you imagine that poor guys reaction.....? I bet he's thinking - I really lost my *** on this one.....

seems the car has some serious power, combined with traction and wa-la, axle winds up and gets ripped out.

Not the first time I've seen that happen. It's usually on the track tho with slicks and a well prepped track. A buddy's car broke a weld on a ladder bar set up and the whole rear end moved to the left on the launch. It broke one weld on the left side front and bent the diagonal link bar. Made a complete pass with it tho lol

I bet he was glad it was a pretty low speed. Could have been scary at highway speeds.

Generally, it happens on a launch or when going into 2nd gear. Sometimes the launch will shake things loose a bit and the 2nd gear hit will finish it off.

How is that even possible? All at once anyway.

Yea, that really sucks.
I'm guessing he had his wife in the shop with him and he asked her to tighten a few things down really well after a new diff install.

Hence my avatar. It happens.

catastrophic failure....It sucks just running out of fuel or stalling in traffic.....damn

As cranky stated broken welds will get you every time. A friend of mine (camaro guy) we don't hold it agenst him he just finished his 68 ss camero big block 4 speed 12 bolt he begged me to weld his perchs on his rear and I kindly said no because if something happened I didn't want to be held responsible. So he borrowed my welder and did it him self I strongly urged him to bring it to a professional but he insisted he could do it well ,2 weeks later was the first day this car hit the streets seem to drive great looked great he was happy till ....you guessed it welds broke rear came loose car came down on the massive tires destroying the rear
1/4's he was now unhappy (guess I should of just welded the rear for him . Oh well if you don't do it right be prepared for a bite in the ***.
Just a ? I saw perch mounts on the rear Still should the rear be over the leads or do. You guys think he had a 4 link or something like that ?
