If it was me...I would just give the 'Cuda away to the first guy that replied to your thread...

4sp for auto? A/c is missing off gtx. I would have him fix that first

His price on the GTX is on the low end for those cars in good shape

Is that GTX engine Corporate Blue or Turquoise? If it's blue, it's gonna need to come out and be repainted to be right. That "Magnum" pie plate would need to be replaced with the correct "Super Commando" one. Little nits, perhaps. A lot of coin for a car that still has needs; but with that said...any time you can trade off an E-body for something cooler, do it!!!

I was thinking that a matching # 4speed car is more desirable than an auto. The gtx say nothing about # matching.

The GTX looks nice, but you know the statement, "beauty only goes skin deep, but ugly goes right to the bone".

I think you really need to check out the condition of the car and look for shoddy repairs. I'm not saying it has shoddy repairs, but buyer beware. For me, the newer the paint job, the more to look closely at what is underneath. Look at things like suspension components, motor mounts, general under car components. If those look like $hit then I would be worried that the seller is putting lipstick on a pig. On the other hand, if all that looks nice and it looks like it was an honest to goodness restoration, then I would go for it. The GTX is an awesome color combo and a very desirable car, much more so than the 73 Cuda - even with an automatic.

My $0.02

bye bye cuda

big time .....a 73 (not a great year) SMALL BLOCK car .......does it matter if its number matching ...its still a small block!!! for a GTX ....a real GTX (RS23L9) car.

if it were me I would do it and feel guilty for making out like a bandit with a real GTX even if it needs some work here and there ......68 is a muscle car year and its a GTX ...the top of the Plymouth B body line ....the finest of the fine .....GTX even rolls off the tongue smooth.

IMO it's a even trade as long as his car is a numbers car...but I feel like the cuda has a brighter future..meaning 70-71 are the untouchables
"your will be too" one day !

If the GTX is a straight car with no hidden problems, I would swap. The GTX is beautiful. (Not that the Cuda is a pig, but .......)

I might be a little bias here since I own a 68 GTX, but have to agree with several posts here. Big block car a plus. 70 Cuda was the car. Yours is very nice no doubt. Here in N.Y you really dont see a ton of GTX's. The car is roomy ( just like you wanted) one of the reason I bought mine too. Oh yeah don't forget the 490+ ft.lbs of torque. Black is awesome, but that that blue/white combo is beautiful. Plenty of people who see my car never even seen a GTX ( Confuse it with the R.R) Good luck. Both cars are awesome.

We've just had some email correspondence...but it's at a classic car dealership so I'm highly doubtful it will be an even swap

No B5 blue in 68,should be QQ1 and they aren't the same color.Engine color looks off also

Here is the correct color QQ1 and the engine should be a turquoise color.. I would wonder hat else is not right is there a fender tag?
