Hello, I am looking for a bolt on fiberglass hood scoop for my 66 coronet. Preferably the 6 pack style. Who do you guys recommend? Let me know what you got and post dome pics if you have them. Thank you in advance.

I would go with a more correct looking for the vintage of car Hemi / RO/WO scoop.
Matt

3rd that. One pet peeve I have is scoops from a certain year put on other year car. They look out of place to me.

Personally I don't like those scoops. I like the later models. I wasn't really looking for people to tell me what to put on "my" car. That's why you have "your" car. I already found who I am going with anyway.

So.....if you didn't want our recommendation, why did you ask? I personally thing the RO / WO scoop looks much better than any of the 6-pack scoops --especially on the 66 / 67 models.

I didn't ask for opinions of what to put on my car. Read the post, I asked for brands of scoops. What companies etc.. I asked, " who do you guys recommend? not what type.

With all due respect, Tim2266ev2, you asked a question and by the way also used the term "preferably" a six pack style. People started providing some feedback with recommendations. We all respect that it is "your" car, but it is also "their time" to provide help. With that kind of attitude, don't look for a lot more of it...

X2!!! BTW, the WO/RO scoop is the way to go. All other scoops look ridiculous on a '66 or '67. You DID ask the question, remember? My 2 centavos.

ok....so original poster seemed a bit angry and confused....lol.....

I would like to see some pics of what you guys think I should put on my 67 coronet 500? scoop wise... after I get my 5.7 hemi in it I believe I will put one on it....entire hood? or bolt on scoop? etc...
ill be nice I promise :)

Tim, this is mostly why the restomod section was formed in my opinion. You try to get help and most of what you get is negative stuff sometimes. You'll get tons of people on here telling you how to do YOUR car.. it's kind of ridiculous. Anyway it's no use fighting it, just ignore it/them.

:violent-smiley-100:

Tim what these guys are saying is that the scoop that "Mattsmopars" posted is the one the factory put on the 66 & 67 Coronets and GTX's and most of us Mopar people agree we think it looks best on that car like yours. Now sure you can buy a 6 pack scoop and have it put on your hood as I did that on a 66 Dart years ago. Its kinda like my 63 Sport Fury you see here as I use the Max Wedge scoop that Mopar put on the 63's and I like it best on them. I did see a 63 Plymouth with a 6 pack scoop on it and to be honest it just did not look right on a 63 to me. I love the 6 pack scoop on the 69 Roadrunners and Superbees and on many A-bodies also. Myself I agree that the 66/67 RO/WO sccop would look great on your car but if you want the 6 pack scoop on it then thats fine as it is your car. I will say there is a place in Flordia we have dealt with that was called AAR and I believe they have changed their name to "Stinger" fiberglass now and they gave us a nice product with great service. I dont think they make a 66 or 67 B-body hood with the 6 pack scoop as you will most likely have to buy the glass 6 pack scoop and have it put on your hood. I had a glass 6 pack scoop put on my metal hood on a 66 Dart back in the late 70's and it turned out good as the guy did a nice job. I actually bought that 6 pack scoop from the Dodge dealer back then as they still had some in stock but your not going to find any at a dealer today. Good luck which ever scoop you go with and just take it easy on these guys and they will work with you and help you out as there is a ton a knowledge at this site between all who post on here. Ron

As Ron said above, it's your car and your choice. I put a later model hemi scoop on my 63 because it was big enough to allow me to use 1"spacers under my carburetors on a crossram, and I love what it looks like. Not to be rude, but I don't really care what anybody else thinks so I don't ask for opinions on this forum. I will agree, though, that there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained from members of this site if you can wade through the junk...

My '63 uses NO hood scoop. For a matter of fact I only wear my hood when I go to Carlisle

ITIS....It's much cleaner looking/finished with the hood on.

The OP did ask about six-pack scoops, and everybody has an opinion and an a-hole. I have no help to give about six-pack scoops. Sorry.

I apologize for giving you my opinion on scoop styles. I misread your post and thought you were looking for opinions on what to do. Will be sure to read the posts fully in the future.
