What engine does it have, and is it still for sale?

What makes it rare?
 
It is not hemi cuda rare buy no means but out of all the satellites made in 71 they only made about 3000 sebring plus models thats all. Thanks for your inquiry.

IMHO, everyone that has purchased these over the past years has made GTXs or RRs out of them. Soon there will be no SSPs left.
If I were to purchase a SSP (and I almost did back in 2010), I personally would restore it to original as the SSP was a very high-end B body. But again, just my 2 cents.
 
I have a 71 SSP it won't be restored to the fender tag coding but it will remain a SSP. It does have a matching # 383 but not the trans. It's got bucket seats and a column shift. All that I's getting changed to a floor shift. Good luck with your sale.

I agree. Satellite Sebring Plus's are rare these days. I decided to leave mine a SSP after seeing how many Clone Runners and GTX's there are being made. I put the stuff I like from Roadrunner's and GTX on my SSP, but left it flying the SSP badges.
Great car and good luck with your sale. The car is worth what you are asking for SURE! I paid way more for mine in rough condition last year.
