Listing for a friend. No fender tag but originally H code 383 HP car with a 1966 HEMI installed using Schumacher mounts on the wedge K member. Engine runs but possibly has high compression pistons so recommend it come apart for a rebuild. Pings on pump 91. Holds cooling system pressure, no water in the oil, etc.. Cranking compression is 220 PSI and sounds like it has a stock cam (solid). No other info available on the internals of the engine. Has single 625 AFB on the factory dual plane NASCAR repo intake.

Car body is pretty decent and has receipts for the work performed. Not a very rusty car either! Floors and trunk believed to be original and look darn good but lower quarters and likely the rear window have been repaired. This is a 15 footer driver quality car. The trunk lid has some paint bubbles and can be repaired by the seller (Muscle car Alley) for extra cost. This is the shop that painted my white RR.

Interior has newish Legendary upholstery, door panels and carpet. Dash gauges will need repaired or restored.

Seems to have 3.23 SG 8.75". Manual drum brakes 11" in front with a scabbed on single master cylinder?? But no big deal to change back to a dual circuit with proper distribution block and lines.

Suspension needs to be rebuilt. Has PS and that seems to work OK. Tranny has a leak at what appears to be the dipstick O ring otherwise it works fine. Exhaust looks like a 3" system with what appear to be Flowmasters hooked to stock manifolds.

Asking $28.5K. Or if someone wants just the body he will remove the engine and sell the car as a roller. Or just install a good running big block wedge.

PM me here and I'll give you Mike's contact info, or perhaps better, look up Muscle Car Alley of Southern Oregon and call Mike directly.

Since this is not a Roadrunner, What would the roller price be. I don't need the tranny if that would make it lower priced........................MO

Will get back on price and post pics of hemi. Pretty sure he needs to net $28K or really close to it so back out what a good hemi core is worth and you'll probably get the car.

I don't know what to say about the pistons. My '66 Coronet had 12.5:1 pistons when I took it apart, and it ran fine on pump gas. The only thing it would do is kick over a few times unless shut off in gear. Note also the 1/8" oil ring. They're going to be replaced with correct 10.5:1 pistons, along with new rods and a new crank.

We have no idea what's inside this engine but can assume much higher than stock compression. It's pretty miserable but babied around it will run OK. It needs to come apart but we both believe it's a good core for rebuild. No signs of blown head gaskets or unusual knocks.

Engine looks super! Wouldn't that be a $25,000 Hemi?.........................MO

Not this one in my opinion. I'd be willing to make him a deal on the engine if someone steps up to take the car. I also have some of my own parts that I can throw in to sweeten the car deal. Disc brakes, 383 engine parts, tranny can stay. This is a really clean body and should go to someone that will enjoy it. Original floors and truck that are not rusted thru and the paint job alone would cost $5K to duplicate (not super show quality but pretty straight). I delivered it to him when I picked up my white RR and got to check it out in person pretty carefully.
