Just finished cleaning the chrome and stainless steel, waiting to get car back from paint so I can start putting it back together. 20150611_154322.jpg20150611_154343.jpg20150611_154505.jpg20150611_154522.jpg20150611_155345.jpg20150611_155428.jpg

YIKES!
Nice car..cant wait to see the pics!
Congratulations on owning a very rare and desirable automobile!

Looking good, even the shiny plastic! When is your car scheduled to be back?

The parts look great. Looking forward to see the finished car. Polishing all the trim is worth the time it makes the car look good.

The parts are an example of what the finished product will be - beauty!

How and where did you get all of the "Bright-work" and plastic looking brand new?

Hopefully I will get the car back from paint in a week or two, some of the chrome and stainless was new or redone, no plastic at all it was all dirty and had some discoloration and weathering, just used my buffers red and white compound then soft wheels with two types of polish, some had to be done with polishing rag by hand. Working a few hours a day for two weeks got it done. Stripped and repainted the headlight buckets and parking light housings, the lenses polished like new. Disassembled the tail lights, polished and resealed them. I have decided to repaint the dash when I get it back, I received the original color paint with the car, already disassembled the speedo housing and paited that, so I need to do the rest, received a new steering wheel Friday, looks good, the company used the original casting to do the wheel. Have all new hardware to put the trim back on so it should be fairly easy. Will post pictures of the paint when its done, thanks for all the nice comments.

It just hit me the plastic mentioned was the lenses, polished with plastic polish and small wheel, very carefully.

Thought I would add a picture of one of my cars, this was in the early 90's, I learned to polish parts from a sponsor who did my polishing and chroming. I have owned 18 or so race cars, this was my AA/DA dragster.

I mean TAD dragster , this was just after they changed all the classifications.
