Here's some pics of my 63. Thanks to all who post pics of the cars in various stages - they make great reference for others! june112015 022.jpgjune112015 023.jpgmy330.jpgmy3301.jpgmy3302.jpgmy3303.jpgmy3304.jpg

Cool car. But I notice something bizzare about it. It has a 63 Plymouth dash assembly in it. Was that intentional?

The car came that way,..........the 4 door parts car I have has the same dash. Also another 63 I looked at this weekend for parts had the same dash. Was this a Canadian thing? Anyone out there have a theory? All the 63's I've seen on line have the "square" gauges..interesting. I will try to decode vin and post more info. Thanks

Hey super-bee_ski, I've been drooling over your thread already. please continue posting pics, they help so much in pre-planning and referencing for my project!! We never seem to take enough pics during these projects .

Okay,"2chop9",
Im currently pursuing a "donor" car for some of the missing hardware that Phoenix Auto body has misplaced/lost.
I'll continue with progress

You have a GREAT CAR!
One of our fellow Forum members "5.7hemi" restored my grille.
He did an excellent job

So according to the web, the vin decodes as follows.. first digit is engine, second digit is model, third digit is year, fourth is plant, last six are sequence numbers. So this means my car is a 6 cylinder,440,1963,built in Windsor, Ontario. Seems odd doesn't it to be a "440" when it has "330" badges? It is registered and insured currently as a 63 Polara . I never claimed to be an expert here so if anyone has any tips or pointers please let me know.

Don't think they made any 2 door hardtop 330's. 440 and polara only as Hardtops.

When I picked up this car it came with a 1963 Dodge 4 dr 6 cylinder parts car which I don't have room to store. My question is if I strip this car, what parts and pieces should I keep? I already have the 6 banger sold, interest in the push button linkage and somebody that needs the trunk lid but is there anyone out there who has been down this road before and has some tips? I'd hate to gut the car and overlook a piece that may be valuable to me later. Even if it's for trading value or whatever. Thanks in advance for any response.

Canadian 1963 Dodges got the Plymouth dashes. Not sure on other years.
