Building a 69 Charger convertible and have decided to go with a 6.4 Hemi. So many different options for transmissions. I'm curious if anyone has put a 727 with Gearvendors behind their 6.4. What's the cruising RPM on the highway? Gas mileage? All ideas and thoughts are welcome! THX

I have the 6.4 liter Hemi in my Jeep SRT and it is a great engine. I smile every time I get in it. I will be getting the Gearvendors for my 727 this winter but it will be behind my 440 in my R/T. I had it stroked to 500 ci and I am worried about wear and tear and hopefully the added gear will help. Good luck with the 6.4.

I've got that exact setup in my '66 Charger. Works very well. 3.55 rear. Averaged a little over 18MPG over 2400 miles or so on the Power Tour earlier in June.

i got the 6.1 with the tr6060 six speed. just my opinion i love it. 3;55 sure grip 6th gear 70 mph under 2grand 24mpg. the 6.1 freaking flys im sure that 6.4 ought to do a little better. good luck with your build an post pics. we love car ****.
