I have a 64 Polara and have installed a 73 440, if I buy the 64 power steering pressure hose will it fit the 73 pump threads?
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply, do they make an adapter? I have the 73 hose but it is a male 5/8 fitting and I have a male 1/4" (I think ) male fitting on the box.

Do you have a local tube and hose shop? If so, maybe they can either make a new hose or alter the one end of the 73 hose.

We do have a shop that does that, I will have to see what they can do.

Thanks

Ok, so I found a 64 unit and put it on my 64 polara, now when I start the car the steering wheel wants to jerk out of my hands and turns very stiff, I worked it back and forth to get the air out, the steering gear was sitting for a long time, only thing I can think of is the valve on the steering gear is stuck. Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks

Just wanted to update for anyone going through the same issue, it was the valve in the steering gear. I disassembled it and it was rusty and stuck. I ended up replacing the steering gear and it works great.
