i tried googling this and searching here too, couldnt find squat.
so,will a 70 b body 8-3/4 rear fit a 62 dart?

i see the width is around an inch extra on the sides..?
58ish to 60ish
and the rear thats under it now is too narrow for my reg offset mopar wheels, the tires hit the springs.

has anyone swapped theirs out and whats the offset on your rims you used if so?
even more vital, what tire size did you use to fit under there?
did you end up mini tubbing or?
thanks!

stats:
1970 B body 8-3/4 carrier limited slip 741 case unknown ratio no tag.
wheels//tire size dayton spoked 16`s with 225 65 16 tires.

Yes.

As I recall it adds about a 1/2" of width on each side.

It worked perfect for centering 8" wide steelies on my '63 with 4.5" backspace.

I run 275/60/15's.

You'll have to use your springs, though, as the later B body springs are too long!

ty Sir,i was hoping i could use the shackles and keep the 70 springs but owell.
has anyone ever used fiberglass/composite springs on these?
is it worthwhile doing it w a big block car?

another question too for you Pros.
using disc brakes off a b-b0dy charger from 76..on a 62.
can this be done and what do i need off the charger, besides the calipers rotors and master and brake line splitter?
will the knuckle be right?
will i end up with some bizarro setup that cant be aligned?

any help is greatly appreciated.

that rearend,btw,is a ??
both wheels only turn one direction and it feels like its a ls.
but the case is a 741.
would that be possible in a 318 coronet that was bone stock right down to the hubcaps?
got it right out of the original owners barn.
the brakes are small drum, both ends,so no towing package?

on the later spindles..there are those who say go for it as the car will align and you would have to be at the extremes at all times to allow for the slight difference to come into play..other say ick nay completely and stick to their guns and the A-body setup...I do not have in front of me the talking paper on the later spindles but can say it has been posted here a few times in the past..maybe a quick search will get you the information...sorry I do not have a hot link to it...
