Dumb question for the day!

On a 1967 Coronet Hardtop just to the right of the steering column - some of the dash panels that I see have a switch with a round knob between the steering column and the ignition switch and some don't. My '67 R/T does not have a switch there - just has the ignition switch and the cigarette lighter on the right side of the column. I'm wondering what that switch is. Could it be the rear seat speaker fader?

The switch in question does not show up in the shop manual or the wiring diagram in the shop manual that I can find.

Thanks one and all for the help!

Bill

I think that was the optional switch hole. That is where the convertible top switch is located on our '66 Coronet 500. I have also seen the reverb switch there IIRC.

There are probably no dumb questions here,if you do not know just ask, there are very smart people here that usually can answer all these questions,i ask bunch of questions when i first got here and got good info back.

2X that... no question is dumb. We will all help if we can. We are a community of car guys.

Thanks for the replies!

This is beyond all doubt the best MOPAR site out there - and it is all of you that make it so.

I don't sign in every time I stop by, but I'm usually on here at least once per day checking out the new posts and reading the old ones - always picking up some good information from the many members who share their knowledge and experience (and humor) with the rest of us.
