Hey guys,

As you may have guessed I'm a total noob at most of this. Took this pic last night. Based on my research the center part I believe is the voltage regulator and the piece on the right is the starter relay, I think. No clue what is on the left. Any help would be appreciated.

Horn relay maybe?

Just checked this instructions of the new harness and it includes a pre-wired horn relay, so guess I won't need one. Thanks guys!

Starter relay (right) generally has 4 contacts with wires running off. Horn relay (left) will have 2.
And yes, that is the older style (correct style for 66-69). However what I would recommend is the electronic VR which you can find in the same case so it looks correct.
They are MUCH more reliable than the old points units.
They are available many places but you may have to search a bit and they show up on EBay often. If interested, I can find a couple links for you.
i got mine from http://www.4secondsflat.com/electricalsystems.html

Thanks ODZKing. I'm not concerned with the VR looking the same. Does an electronic VR change anything about the wiring? Or is it just more reliable?

Changes nothing, just works better.
As I said, the one I purchased, plug and play!
