Recently purchased a non running 1972 Sebring Plus. 400/727/8.75 rear and 3.23. Has 1971 Roadrunner front clip and hood. Car sat for at least 15 years. After cleaning carb, putting aluminum radiator and fresh oil and filter change, hooked gas can to fuel pump, she woke up from her long slumber. Had a miss and a knock coming from the intake, like someone was under the intake with a hammer swinging away sporadically. After pulling valve covers, #1 intake pushrod was mangled. During replacement I realized the intake valve was stuck open! That explains the knock! I pulled the #1 plug, used a screw driver and brass hammer to work the valve loose, after that, the old big block ran like a champ.
Now all the car needs is everything! Lol! The reason the car sat for so long, the guy I bought it from was making doughnuts in his yard when he was 16 and bashed the rear quarter into a tree! Tweaked the bumper too. And his dad parked it after that. The car has typical rust, but frame rails, trunk floor are solid. Drivers floor has a hole. But I plan to drive it as I fix it up, gather parts, and someday making a GTX clone.
This car is optioned well, had 2 fender tags, but the second one is M.I.A. I will keep my eye on this forum time to time for misc parts. Even though I am a Chevy man, I am looking forward to something different. Always had a thing for 71-72 Plymouth B bodies since I took pics of 72 when I was 15 years old looking for my first car. My dad thought it was too rusty, I recently found those pics, and it looks great compared to mine! Funny how that works.

Welcome to Mopar University. Glad to have you and thx for the pic of your ride. Pls keep us posted on questions and/or what you decide to do with her.

Just got my gas tank back last week, trying to get the old gal road worthy again to make one of the cruise nights. Also trying to straighten the front and rear valances, the right front fender, and rear bumper. Did fix a Trans leak and replaced the Trans mount. More updates with pic to follow.

Thanks again for the welcome in, just installed the fuel tank with a refurbished sending unit. Plus I removed the front fender to check door fitment issues. Now it opens! Plus I found some more rust, surprise! Lol
