Can anyone shed some light on this vin number? RM23H9C229326. Claims its a 69 RR. Is this the right vin for that year RR? Thanks for your help

1969 Road Runners were built at Lynch Road (A plant), St. Louis, (G plant) and LA (E plant).

Often, the tail of the G is missing making the letter appear to be a C.

Below compares a legitimate "C" code vs a "G" with a missing tail.

Yes, RM23H9G229326 is a legitimate VIN for a 69 Road Runner

Well I guess the vin code run I used was incorrect because it clearly said Jefferson. Although others I've run have come up as Lynch Road - including my GTX.

Plant C was Jefferson but they only built Chryslers and Imperials. Since this is a '69 Plymouth B body, we know it has to be from Lynch Road, STL or LA. It's quite common for the 'tail' of the G to be missing and many people mistake the incomplete G as a C.

I'll bet that G is fun when you go to get a VIN inspection. But it is sure longer on the bottom.

Well this car is for sale in Phoenix. C List. No title, nice paint for 14 K. Set up for drag strip, and much modified. ALL the factory wiring is gone. No fender wells. 440 with roller cam, dominator carb. F Glass hood, deck lid and bumpers. Maybe someone wants it? Its also on Denver C List. I'm passing on this one.
