My kid wants a camaro? ugh.

Gentlemen,
A possible solution for the son wanting a Camero is: get rid of the son. Just kidding but possibly he needs a little education in the whys and wherefores of classy and classic automobiles.....BTW for all of the trivial pursuit players....what does Camero mean???
Cheers,
RJ Renton

Allegedly: Friend

Camaro=Friend

Mustang=named after the P-51 Mustang "Warbird"
Coronet=Small Crown
On and on....

My head it filled with useless knowledge...

Sonny hates Camaros......sick of looking at them at car shows.....just as bad as late model 'Vette's...cookie cutter cars...

give me this....

You know, as much as I love old Mopars, a kid starting with a Camaro or Mustang (not the high dollar years) isn't a bad idea. They are cheap and a kid with a very low budget is better able to build and/or maintain one. When he grows up he can step up to a Mopar!

Like others have said, if a kid likes American muscle that's all good! My son drives a 1973 Road Runner (my first car) and my daughter drives a 2007 California Special Mustang 5 speed. Works for me!

Now might be the time to tell your son....He is adopted.

I have a 70 firebird for sale. Pm if any interest.
Pontiacs are big block cars....

Another point is younger kids have yet to grow so old and obnoxiously sour like us.

Although it is not long off, give it time. LOL

I liked the second Gen Camaro's and like super Bee said the 70-74 Trans Am .

When Kahn & 747Mopar were just visiting a few weeks ago I was carrying on about my liking for split bumpers. I still want one to turn into a baddass pro-tourer

Camaro is kinda slang for "buddy" in spanish, camarero is companion in spanish.

Just like EL Camino is Spanish for The Camino.....or road.

I like Chevys. Have had several. You can't beat a small block chevy for torque. That's why all the old dirt trackers ran them. Camaros are a beautiful car.

My son has a 2015 Camaro, because that's what he wanted. His car, his choice. I've driven it, and it has a bunch of balls, handles like it's in rails, and is just plain fun to drive. The car is loaded, it's Yellow with black interior, and he feels about it they way I did with my first new car. A yellow/Black '68 Hemi RR.

Personally, I'm not much for any new cars, GM, Ford, Fiat/Chrysler, or the rest of the imports, which is why, since about 1990, my personal vehicles have been full size pickups and vans. I fit in them, and I like the idea of V8, rear ( or 4wd) drive, (at least) 6 passengers, and a wheel base over 11 feet.
