Maybe if anyone here has knowledge of Chevy Avalanche stuff, here's the problem:
driver's side rear window is malfunctioning today, goes down all the way but will only come up about 1/4 then stops....
I took the door panel and plastic off to see if anything is jamming the regulator but it doesnt appear to be damaged, cables are all ok.....could it be a faulty motor or ???

When it comes up, is it having difficulty till it hits midway and stops? Or does it seem like it is going up fine and then just stops half way?

It goes up fine then just stops

Had the same thing happen to my wifes Tahoe, so I put a 2x4 in the door to hold the window up, traded it at the dealer for our Magnum.

It figures, that's the window that has hardly ever been used! Thank you all......

I have an 04 Escalade EXT, my rear windows are super slow, I've had issues with the plastic outer door handles breaking. other than that solid trucks!
My friend has a '10 Avalanche with 200k miles and a dealer offered him $23k, as East Coast dealers are throwing new engines in them and making a killing on the West Coast...I guess they're going up in value now that they're extinct!

Uhoh, I have a 04 Avalanche 2500. Driverside window has been starting to have problems. Auto window stopped working and I can grow a beard before the window gets rolled up.

Let me know where you purchase your motor. I'll probably be in the market in a couple weeks.

O Reilly and Auto Zone both have the motor for $38.99. However.....I did not need to buy a new motor, read somewhere about spraying some lithium grease on the rails as they get dry after a while and as the roller/slider is made of plastic (of course) it may have just jammed up, so after spraying it down I let it sit for a couple hours then started working it back and forth, pulling up on the glass at the same time and it just came all the way up......where it will now stay forever!
So the problem seems to have been just a dried up sliding mechanism (or whatever it is called).
