Hey guys i ordered wilwood disc brakes front and rear for my 1969 superbee but not sure what master cylinder and booster setup to go with? I like the stock looking power booster, saw them on pirate jack website but not sure what direction to go. Any help would be great. Thanks

Master will need to be at least 1.125 bore for 4 wheel disc.

If i dont go with a power booster does it still need to be 1.125 inches. Thanks

I also noticed adapters to adapt the master cylinders to fit on the power boosters. Can i bolt on a wilwood 1.125 inch master cylinder to my stock booster. Thanks

I agree and learnt the hard way. I even researched what bore to buy and found a 1" bore was the ticket for my Wilwood setup. I'm not happy at all with it. Soft peddle after bleeding numerous times. Doesn't grip like it should. Waste of time and money.

Thinking about going with the pirate jack booster and a wilwood master cylinder with an adapter to make it work. Any suggestions on this setup. Thanks

What setup did you have? I had 4 wheel race brakes on a Duster years back and didn't like it either. The pedal always felt spongy on it too but it stopped ok but the track also had a long shutoff. Comparing that setup with 4 wheel 11" drum brakes that were on another drag car, the drums did just as good if not better. The big difference was that the car with the Wilwoods ran 9.90's and the drums were on a 10.60 but heavier car by 450 lbs.

I had 4 wheel drums on the car but ordered the dics brakes for the front and rear from wilwood. Just hear of no one having any luck getting their master cylinder/ power booster to pedal feel right. Not sure what setup to use but i will go with the bigger bore master cylinder for sure!

On my Cuda I have the front and rear Wilwood disk brakes, Wilwood tandem 1" bore Alum master cylinder with factory booster, Wilwood proportioning valve. The pedal feels like I have drums. I was originally using a stock master with the setup but recently (this year) changed the master to the Wilwood 1". No difference. It was a nightmare installing because I had to trial-and-error the setup of the plunger coming out of the booster. Too long and it will lock up your brakes after 10 minutes of driving. Too short and the pedal travel is too much. What made it worse is after each adjustment I had to bleed all the brakes! That stupid rubber dust cover they supply with it doesn't get installed if you are using a booster. I didn't know (not in instructions) and that was another removal and bleed!

Recently I was talking to a local mechanic shop owner who owns and fixes mopars and he also said he's never had good pedal feel on Wilwood brakes. I think most people are buying the 1" bore instead of the larger 1.125". I'm living with it for now because I just bought the damn thing.

Havent read any posts of guys having any luck with the wilwood stuff on mopars. Pedal feel and problems With getting the power booster/master cylinder combo right. Im gonna go with a 1.125 wilwood master cylinder disc disc setup and pirate jack factory style booster and cross my fingers
