Hi! I´m a new member from Finland, Europe. I have ´68 Charger with 5.7 hemi fuel injection engine, 545RFE transmission, AirRide air suspension, 4*disc brakes and dakota digital meters. My engine came from 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, so it´s a truck engine. Now I have problems with the hood, because throttle body hits the hood, and because of that, hood sits poorly. So, my question is: if I buy passenger car´s intake manifold, will it fit to truck engine? Is it lower than truck intake manifold? Passenger car´s intake manifold would look good, too :) Sorry about my possible bad English, I hope you understand me.. These 4 photos probably shows my problem better:

Thats an interesting air cleaner set up. You can put a car intake on, but then you will have major issues. The truck front cover will need to be changed. Which changes belt and hose positions. Accessories will be in different places. It would be a hassle for me and i have all the parts laying around to do it. Im thinking 3g hemi parts are hard to come by where you are.

Engine bay 001.jpgMan, you would be better off installing a cold air intake like what is designed for the IIIg Hemis. I know this will deviate from the "old school" look but it would be sooooo much esier and waaaaayyyy less costly I am sure.

That should work for your 5.7 as many truck owners use Vararam cold air intakes. Vararam gets air from in front of radiator with a fairing the drops so not sure how it would fit on the Charger.
