I'm working on a 68 gtx auto with console. My wiring diagram tells me to connect the console harness to the console wiring on instrument panel. I have looked under the dash but can't find anything to plug the console harness into. I guess I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Can anyone help with this issue?

should be a free plug behind the drivers kick panel Yellow and pink wires

I should add that on mine, there is an intermediary harness that plugs the console harness to the dash harness. I can send you photos if you like.

If you don't have, consult the factory manual, which you can download free from MyMopar

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=31

Also go to the wiring section

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=27

and download 68 Ply etc etc "full set" which is just the diagrams just for B body, out of the shop manual, this file

Some models / years required a "jumper harness" between the instrument connections and the console. One connector (floor shift automatic?) should be the "half moon" shaped one for the reverse lights, with a white and violet wire

Start with page 7.........of the file posted above and then page 3, "accessory wiring" and look for the 4 pin connector towards top right, see if that is what you are looking for. should be pink, white, violet, and orange
