So making sharp right or left turns, I'm getting tire rub on the back side of both front tires on the frame (towards rear).
I have 15x7 Magnum 500's on the front with MT 225/70/R15 on the front..I am hoping, I can just get a smaller (thinner or more narrow) tire for the front and not have to replace rims.

Thoughts?

Don't turn as tight and use accelerator to induce oversteer :icon_wink:

I have same size on my 62 Dart and they rub all over the place... I just turn up the sound (i.e. exhaust)

The problem is, the sharper I turn, I can actually slow and almost stop the car. It sucks.

i have the same size tires on my road runner but have 15x6 magnums and no rub at all.

So you believe that if I go to a small rim by 1" that will retain the side wall of the tire back enough to prevent the tire rubbing on the frame in the back of the tire?

I guess I could buy 2 new rims 1" smaller/narrow , but worry the tire might still rub.

I have 15x7 magnums with 235/70/15. I added a 3/8 spacer to all 4 wheels. It is much better, just don't turn really sharp.

On my 69 Super Bee, I'm running a 225/70-15 tire on a 15x7x4 backspaced front wheel and get no rubbing. What's the wheel back spacing?

The Current 15x7's on the front are 4.25 in Back space. I ordered 15x6's with 4" back space today and Jegs is taking the front 2 rims back and crediting me.
All I pay is shipping. Why not....

I dont know if this makes a differance but I have stock drum brakes on my car, if you have disc conversion it may be differant.
