Hi guys, I realise everyone will have an opinion on this, but as I'm overseas (in Australia) I need some help. I'm restoring a 66 Satellite (pics on the "Lets see all the cool 66-67 b-body mopar pictures") and am at the stage of rebuilding the whole front end. Basically I need Upper Control Arms (originals are a bit dodgy), Idler Arm, Pitman Arm, Tie Rod Ends, Lower Ball Joints, Torsion Bars, Strut Rods, Shocks, and anything else I've missed!
I want to buy the whole lot to save on postage costs and want quality items from a company that will be easy to communicate with. I've seen some cheaper stuff on ebay but don't want any Chinese stuff that won't last. I'm thinking of poly bushes but nothing too extreme as car will be fast cruiser with occasional trips to local dragstrip (Willowbank Raceway for anyone interested).
Any ideas on who to use and what make of parts to buy?
Thanks in advance
Kieran

There has been some recent Poo Pooing of Moog parts, but I thing they are still great. Most important is the installer. Might try Rock Auto.com if they will ship to Oz. Also look around for a link to a code for an extra 5% they give off the purchase. There is always one somewhere.

I second moog, I have never had a problem and the prices are right...

I rebuilt my front end with a complete poly kit from PST. Very good parts plus 10% member discount. Check the banner to the right.

I rebuilt mine last year. I used Poly where I could but used Moog also. I also put new gear oil in the manual steering gear. The car now steers very easily with one arm vs 2 arm grunting to turn the car at low speeds.

PST is a vendor here too iirc. Check in the vendor forums....

Thanks for the help guys. I was leaning towards PST as I see their ads in Muscle Car review magazine I get over here. Also they have the Adjustable Strut Rods which I like the sound of. I've also heard good stuff about the Moog brand. I'll get quotes for both and then can decide. What about the tubular Upper Control Arms - are they worth the extra money?

You can think that all you want but it might not be true. There was someone posted is running a 440 Dart and has MELTED the plastic crap inside the idler arm on more than one (Why are they even thermoplastic??) and another guy has nearly new ball joints failed. So I--just--don't--know. Just about any other part you can think of including electrical parts from NAPA are at least in part.......junk. chineseoated junk
