I am testing the waters on a 18 spline 4 speed with a date code of 5-9-66. It is apart and will need put back together. It does not have a shifter or linkages and does not have a bell housing. If I don't sell it I will put it in my 66 Coronet but thought it might be worth more to someone with a true 66 Hemi car. Asking $900. Located in Hurricane, WV.
 
is there any damage to any of the gears or other parts? can you verify all the parts are there?
 
I don't know much about transmissions and I can not be sure that all of the parts are there but they are supposed to be. All the gears look good to me and no shafts look to be cut but I don't really know what you are meaning about a cut shaft. Here are some pictures that I took the other day. Has the main drive pinion or (input shaft) been shortened to fit undrilled,unfinished crank pilot bore hole? One of your photos looks like it might?
 
I would say the input shaft has been shortened.
