wondering if anyone can brighten and restore 67 gtx grille and decklid trim

Do it yourself. Strip the anodize and polish the metal. It's work but satisfying to see the results.

That route is very expensive they will strip and polish it and then reanodize the metal, the anodizing is where are the cost is you can call Skip (330) 550-3638 he very reasonable compared to everyone else after he is done it will look like new but both pieces would run you about 1000. not including shipping both ways to Florida. Also you must do all the repainting when you get it back.I had my headlamp bezels done and they are beautiful but the grill and the tail lamps I may go the route that 493 Mike mentioned. hope this helps. BTW the name is Extreme Metal Works LLC

Unless you re-anodize, there will be a never ending cycle of re-polishing of the bare aluminum.

thanks guys, seems like another way to spend a lot of cash

When you get a grille and h/l bezels back from me, you might need to polish the shiny stuff 1-2 a year depending on how much time the car is outside/weather.

If ya want to spend a lot less of your hard earned money, send me a pm. I guarantee that you'll save enough money to do a lot of other stuff to your car. Also, you can do a search on here for some of my work.

Why not paint clear urathane over the newly polished aluminum?..................MO

It can yellow and I wont do it just for that reason. Now if someone has me do a grille and they WANT it cleared, I'll do it, but it's with the understanding that at some point it can yellow. A few minutes 1-2 times a year to polish it isn't that big of a deal.
