I set an appt today to see new space for my MoPars...it's a sickness I tells ya!!! :headbang:
 
Gonna have a look inside, plus redo the carbs and some valve train stuff. I need to REALLY clean/detail the car. It's been nearly 10 years since I built it.
 
Put the correct 742 carrier in, with the correct 3.55 gear, and a tru trac.

Next week into the resto shop, to get some interior work done: dash pad, gauge restoration, headliner trim, weather stripping and side marker light assemblies...Sorry dear, no $$$ for Christmas this year !!
 
Picked up a 73 RR hood to replace the 71 Satellite base hood after it made the 3000 mile trip from Ontario to me. She'll look pretty sweet whenever I get this car done.
 
Took out the old rear springs & shocks & put in the new ones. Off to the upholsterer on Tuesday for a new vinyl roof & headliner.

Parked both cars over the weekend and went to Biketoberfest. Destination Daytona had quite a crowd but Main street in Daytona was over the top. Local paper claimed 100k people in town. I'm documenting my 440 and finding some nice surprises. Even though it's a 76 casting date block the heads are 346's (similar to 902), the 4bbl intake is from 1970 and exhaust manifolds are 66-68 but not HP (if that makes much of a diff?). AND I'm 99% sure it's a forged crank, based on the damper. Anyhow I'm seriously considering a Whiplash cam, just need to check cranking cylinder pressure.

Got the engine cranking and the electric fuel-pump operating in my `cuda project. Been awhile since I've done anything with the car.
 
I put in new leaf springs & rear shocks over the weekend & dropped it off yesterday to get the headliner & vinyl roof installed.
 
I took the door and rear interior panels out of my 69 Sport Satellite. Today, I am refinishing the paint on the arm rest bases. I will let you all know how this turns out when done.
 
Big milestone . . . First time since I've owned the car . . .

Yesterday, for the first time that I've owned the car, the engine compartment has an occupant . . . a 5.7L Hemi bolted in place in the Magnum Force Transformer K-member.

It was interesting trying to get it installed by myself - but with some red-neck engineering . . . I got it done !

Moving the Hemi into position . . . removing the engine cradle ( that I mode to hold and allow it to roll in the garage )

Time to jockey it into position ( you can see on the bottom left that the hoist is touching the car frame ) but it's not quite back far enough

Lowering it into position - the oil pan still has to go back 5-6 inches to get it where it needs to be ( this is where my 3 hours wrestling with a Hemi started )

And the winner is . . . the Hemi is now ( for the first time ) resting in the car where it needs to be ! ! !

Now I get to work on the tunnel hump mods, build the trans cross member support, and the . . . guess what . . . pull it all back out again !
 
No pictures unfortunately but I removed everything from the firewall, pull the original factory a/c unit from under the dash, and pulled the brake pedal assembly so I can install my Brewers brake/clutch assembly. Also getting prepped to start cutting out the front floorboards. All in the name of my 70 Plymouth "Project Dead Bird"
