So the OE wheel has that nasty split at the top what can you use to fill it? I watched a wheel restoration vid and it's a big process, is there a OE fill?

I used this on my wheel. It's the same stuff that's in the Eastwood steering wheel restoration kit. I bought mine at Ace Hardware.

I have used J B weld quick, several times with sucess. It sands well, holds up and with primer and paint it is undectible.

We used PC-7, JB Weld, several different two part epoxies in the beginning and found they sand good, look good when it's finished but they all will separate from the plastic if the wheel gets too cold. These wheels have a steel core covered in plastic and will expand and contract with temperature changes. The material we have been using for years actually melts into the original plastic, not just sticking to it. It does not separate from the plastic. We will not sell it or tell you what it is. You'll have to send your wheel to us to be repaired, restored and guaranteed. Send me a p/m for details.
