I have a 94 Dakota with V6...I just went to auto parts store and got one for my truck and installed it on the Daytona...works great and costs way less than those chrome and shiny high priced units from eBay, Summit, or Jegs...it's the same starter with lifetime warranty from parts store...bolts right in, you just have to remove the adaptor lug and re-route your battery cable so it reaches the new starter
One problem I've seen is with starter drives (bendix) I don't know if the rebuilders are using cardboard parts or WTF. But a GOOD Dakota / RAM starter, yes. Any Dodge (probably not Jeep) V6 or V8 Magnum in the 90's There are different manufacturers and minor differences. Some are "clockable." Some come with an adapter terminal "bracket" which should be removed. I've heard of some guys experiencing minor block interference on big blocks, and having to "grind the block."
