Im going to be installing a new clutch setup tmrw and the a833 transmission tmrw in my charger. The engine is out of thecar and on a engine dolly so i can install both units as one.

Any tips on installing everything, do i need to take any measurements, do i lube the clutch splines, if i fill the transmission with oil will it leak out, how does the throwout bearing n clutch fork sit, etc.. First time doing this and i wanna do it once and right. Thanks guys

Has this engine "been" a "stickshift" engine, IE measure the pilot bearing hole in the crank.

I used to put the fork in after the trans went in

If you are using a "bushing" pilot put a small dab of lube in there. I used to put the gearbox into reverse and whatever forward gear you could get it into. This locks the shafts to the case, and now, you can just hoist the gearbox, and when you "wiggle the whole box, the splines will follow, making it easier to line up the splines.

If these parts have not been mated, make darn sure the bell housing center hole is the right size!!!

I used to put these things in in a parking lot, with the front end jacked up, using a floor jack for a trans jack, by myself. My car did not have the irritating factory exhaust--with crossover---which got entirely in the road!!!

The engine was a 4 speed engine. Thank you. Appreciate the reply. I will put sum grease on the pilot bearing tmrw and try those other tips

Pre-fit what you can. Once got a clutch where the splines were messed up (correct number, but cut wrong) and input shaft would not fit. Check the bolts thread in correctly and are the right length. Now would be the time to heli-Coil any stripped out holes.
Check and adjust the bell housing runout. Alot easier with the engine out of the car. As mentioned, check bell housing center hole is the right size.
Check the clutch fork pivot is bolted in place before assembly. Leave the shifter and shift rods off when installing the transmission. Install without fluid in the trans.

Do what 451Mopar said. That is exactly how I did mine and it went it fairly easy. I rebuilt my A833 myself and upgraded some of the components.
I would recommend a billet slip yoke and pinion yoke; new driveshaft balanced. I dropped the driveshaft and used a jack. I did it by myself under the car with the car up on jacks. So, do some research on the Internet. Look at pics; do your homework. Use the best parts; you don't want to have to pull it out because you went cheap.

Thanks for the replys guys.. Appreciate the help. How do i check the bell housing run out? Thanks

Check your fork tips for excessive wear.
Check the pivot fulcrum for wear or bent condition and make sure the bolts are tight.
Check fit of the disc splines to the input shaft.
Don't force the trans onto the bell with the bolts if it feel stuck. Shake it while pushing and try to walk the bolts in evenly.
An extra slip spline can be an aid (plug) if the trans is full of lube or if you for some reason need to index the input splines.
You can get your linkage close before bolting the trans on.

Do i put the throwiut bearing out the transmission, install it then push the clutch fork into the springs on the bearing from the hole on the bellhousing? How do i get the fork n srings on the bearing to clip in. Thanks

Flip a coin........

IMO, much easier to assemble the fork onto the pivot, clip on the bearing, then install the trans. Problem with that is finding you knocked a clip off the fork while installing the trans. Some guide rods from the bell can help keep some control as you install the trans.

You can also go the other route and push the fork onto the pivot and bearing clips after the trans is on.

In either case, verify both clips are on the fork correctly and the fork is on the pivot correctly before you assume you're done.
