Hey guys as most of you know I'm a 3rd gen charger fan. And I've been ordering all the needed parts for my 72 rallye 340 charger. I'm ready to order the aftermarket A/C system.I was all new stuff and I want the kit that fits seamlessly into the car. But I've been looking and I can't find anyone who sells this kit for the 3rd generation charger. Does anyone know where to get this kit and if there's more then one place who has the best kit/parts? I want a soup to nuts kit no missing parts no running to the store trying to find something.

Please help I want to order this soon before my wife finds my money!
Thanks guys

From what I've read, finding an aftermarket a/c kit that will have all necessary parts is almost impossible. I'll be very interested in finding one also.

Fix "what is there??"

I was going to go "a simple route" in my Dart which was not AC originally therefore difficult to install "factory." I was PLANNING on buying an underhood compressor package, make what I needed, and buy a "knee knocker" evap unit of efray

Then I ran into a nearly complete "this"

It's a universal Vintage air this is a complete heater / AC package

ADVANTAGE: Small and compact, actually smaller than the original Dart unit. This means easier to mount, and no motor intruding into the engine bay. It's heat / defrost / AC all in one, and it's NEW.

Small, light, Sanden compressor, and R134A "ready."

DISadvantage:

No outside vent into the heater box. This means in cool / cold wx (which we have) you cannot run outside air into the heater

The control panel is not factory. Now I didn't HAVE a factory controls setup, but it doesn't "look" "67 Dartish"

WHY did I end up with this? Because I had bought a complete underhood Sanden setup from someone else, and the Vintage stuff came along on CL. I got all of it for less than 1/2 new price. The Vintage stuff was only 400 bucks, and is only missing a couple of hose ends and the hose

"All the stuff" I bought..........the complete underhood Sanden stuff + this Vintage kit, was 600 for the whole deal at the door.

In photo below, "cold air" enters blower in open section at far left, from interior

AC outlets are the three big oval outlets

Defrost are the two round outlets

Of course the heat comes out the bottom at your feet.
