64 Plymouth Belvedere build

29.5x10.5w tire , the rim is 12" with a 4.5" back space

That is a lot more tire than my 235 drag radial. It looks huge by comparison

This car is truly a piece of "Art"
Such patience and precision engineering!
Highly commendable!

Great work!

Re did the parachute mount and trans mount also finishing up the rear shock mounts. IMG_0826 (1).jpgIMG_0827.jpgIMG_0828.jpgIMG_0829.jpgIMG_0830.jpgIMG_0831.jpg

Looks good. I think I am going use the license plate flip down for my parachute mount and then put a trailer hitch under the bumper for my drag week trailer

I look at the fab work and welding and just cry !! Really nice work.

Getting close on the chassis and seat placement

Got the seat brackets made for easy adjustment, the rear bulkhead installed and the trunk hing locks done. Couple more weeks and then of to the blaster and start the body work (good winter project). Sorry don't know why the pictures rotated 90 degrees.

Great work Rick, thanks for sharing!

Did you MIG weld the driveshaft tunnel in? (Welds look more like TIG, but surely not?!)

Simply outstanding work! I`ve built full tube chassis before but never with most of the original car still there. What do you think the overall weight will be?

We are shooting for 3300 lbs with driver race weight. Car will have steel doors and fenders glass hood, bumpers and trunk. Engin is a all auminum Hemi

All welds are TIG welded. My son loves to TIG weld!

Sorry don't know why the pictures rotated 90 degrees.

Change the way that you hold the camera when you take the pictures . . .

You're holding it in the "portrait" orientation ( the long edge of the phone is up and down )

Change it to the "landscape" orientation ( the long edge is side to side )

Usually - if you take all the pictures in this manner ( this is how the camera "thinks" the pictures will be taken ) then they should be in the proper direction

( plan "B" is to use any of the picture editing software out there and view them - then you can rotate them to get them corrected )

Like all, fantastic fabrication work. I am blessed to have my sons work on cars with me. I taught one of them to MIG weld now he won't let me go near the machine.
