Well boys as some of you know already but most don't know,I recently bought a 1971 charger R/T from another member on here (new guy) anyways we worked a deal out we both could live with and he's getting it prepared for shipping as we speak. And in preparation for it I purchased a 20x12 air conditioned storage shed with doors just big enough to slide a charger into it,so it's getting it's own VIP parking till I have time to get it setup on the rotisserie(after the other 2 cars ether get finished or sold as they are .so yes I bought it and it's now mine . The car has a title a build sheet and it's fender tag looks like it's a b5 blue car with black interior 440-4 automatic with a Dana 60 out back and big brake s not sure what else yet but am very curious to find out once it gets here.I have a few pictures from the guy I got it from I'll post them up and when it gets here I'll get more before it gets shoved into its storage building. This is my first real deal r/t car and on my top 5 wanted car list this is number 2 right behind a winged beast (Daytona) so beggars can't be choosers number 2 is as good as I'll get for now maybe one day I'll get number one but for now I'll make do . Here's some pictures mostly random parts but it has everything plus extras (lots of extras only thing it's missing is the front and rear window and the fuel tank . The 440 and 727 have both been rebuilt(not sure if org looks to be) the Dana looks like it's never been out the interior looks purity descent also the car is a hideaway car only two things missing the ram charger hood (it has the Gilles ) and a 4 speed but I can live with that I think maybe I'll slide a 4 speed into it and if I can get a ran charger hood I may grab it up too. We'll see I guess.enjoy

I just did that to get it up in the eyes of everyone today I got a thing about posting at 1-2 in the morning and no one ever sees those so I came on to put it to the top .
Yeah I know you care especially when you are needed to help off loads this thing when it finely shows up. The garage for it should get here a day or two before it gets here so hopefully everything works as planned I'm told this thing is loaded full of its parts and extra parts . So it's going to be heavy. I can't wait .
My wife is extremely mad about this car still hasn't talked to me since I made the deal so maybe she'll get over it or maybe I'll get an extra garage space when she leaves and takes the sunroof charger with her.

Yeah I know anyone who liked these chargers are weirdo s but I love them hell I traded a 70 charger 500 bb 4 speed car for a 72 s.e. I guess I'm the king of weirdos just behind you mister cranium,I've been after a 71 rt ever since I started my mopar love affair (back when I was 15 and bought my first car 74 charger) now about 15 years later I finely got one and I have to other rarer 3rd gen charger s now I'm after a Daytona so give me another 15 years and check back.

71 charger was my first car...oddly enough don't care for the lines now. I prefer the same year roadrunner's...

Good luck with your new project, btw. Looks solid.

I for one love the 1971 charger, next to the 68-70 B bodies they are my favorite. Looks like a decent project, buckle up for some work! Are you going original or planning on some changes? A 71 charger/superbee was the first car i looked at buying when i turned 16. It was just outta my price range, man do i wish i had mowed a few more lawns to get that car. Good luck and congrats!

Thanks it needs a lot of rust repair and a frame rail patch or replace I'll know when I see it .

We have a policy on 71's .... only accept if somebody owns one. Lots of work on that one, but you will know all the car. I've done a few of those and its a lot of work.

Lucky I know my way around these cars.I'm still not sure what I'm going to do the sunroof charger is staying no matter what (as it's my wife's car) the rallye is almost ready but still need a lot of metal work so not sure what I'm going to do I have about15k in New parts laying around I might steal the parts and split them up between the sunroof and rt and just sell the rallye car because no one wants it with all the parts so I guess we will see or I might just finish the rallye and sell it to fund the other two who knows I make it up as I go we will see what happens or I'll just keep everything ,I did sell my 3 on the tree charger to a nice younger kid who really wanted a charger so at least I let one go already

Looks like a project...

I like the 71's probably my next build, it'd be a Pro-Touring/Resto-Mod not even close to stock...LOL
That's if I don't build an A-Body 68 383 GTS Drag car first

good luck, with it

nobodys said it yet,but if the danas original,
thats a rare rear in an automatic car....
wonder if theres a original owner story somewheres about this one?

looks like a Sweet project,Kill that rust coming out under the primer tho :(
wish you the best on your newest ride.

ps,my fav is the 70,but,having owned most all of them,
the 71-72 body style had some mean curves :)
Great looking cars.

I'm not sure if the Dana is org or added in later but I'll have the build sheet title and fender tag very soon the car takes a bit longer to get here as soon as I get the info I'll post it up I hope it's an org Dana car that would make it super rare

Sorry guys forgot to update car made it here to fl. Finely (no help to the first truck driver) after I fired him and got a new driver car was picked up within 24 hours and dropped off within 2 days after pickup the other guy drug it out for a month even said he would haul it for free for causing problems ,so the cheap *** in me was like hell yes the more intelligent side of me said hay dumb *** you'll never see that car if it makes it on that truck so I told him to shove it.
Anyways why I said Dana is beyond me it's an
8 3/4 (just to clear that up) the car is purity nice a little more damage then I was told about but what I was told about was no where near as bad as it was made out to be . So all and all its a sweet car . It's a shame after I bought it the doctor said no way ,your not turning another wrench unless I get another surgery and then it's still not guaranteed so my wife told me to sell it ,I might I'm thinking about it I bought it a garage for on property storage do nothing happens to it .
Here's a few pictures the car is fully documented and numbers matching, low miles, the interior is org never touched
Motor and trans both been fully rebuilt. So it's got a lot of plus's IMAG1715_BURST001.jpgIMAG1714_BURST001.jpgIMAG1713_BURST002.jpgIMAG1712_BURST002.jpg

What do you all think?

That is your Dream car James, I would Try as hard as I could to keep it and sell off the others. Didn't they only make about 2500 R/T's in 71?
