I recently bought the windshield upper headliner trim piece, that I was missing. Now I am having difficulty trying to get it in. I'm not sure if I am also missing clips? If so I don't have any and If not, does anyone know what size screws to use or where I can get them?

There are clips that are under the headliner that accept the trim screws. Well not under the headliner
but under the trim

Do you know where I can find those? Is there anybody who sells them online?

Is your headliner still in? If so, they are probably still there (I believe they are actually welded on?) and you are just not seeing them. Try lining up the trim piece then use an awl or a nail (or just the trim screw) to root around for it.

If you headliner is off and you're not seeing them (they are about 1" long with a .5" slot in them for the screw if I recall). Then I'm not sure where to get them.

FYI the 2 door and 4-door/wagon ones are different. I have 3 nice used ones for a 2-door PM me if interested

Yes my headliner is in. I thought I felt some screw holes through the headliner but was not sure. Does anyone have any pictures of what it looks like. I will try to take a couple so you all can see what I am working with.

Here are some photos

You only have one clip that holds that header on, and missing the rest. They are a swedge fit into the upper window frame. You slip them into the hole and pry them open with a screwdriver or similar tool. There is one clip for each hole in the trim piece.

The attached picture shows them installed prior to the window seal. They are the silver clip in the picture.

Hope this helps.

If you can't find new clips, I can help you with a few used ones. I have 4 left over from my 68 Charger resto. They are not broken yet but they don't take kindly to be taken out and re-installed more than once. You insert them in the hole and pinch them with a pliers to expand the ears. It takes 6 clips for the header moulding. You have one, and with my 4, you would still need one more. Here are a couple pics. PM me if you need mine. I can mail em out to you for $8 bucks100_7427.jpg100_7428.jpg

Ok I got the clips now. My new problem is trying to install them. Obviously they have been removed so the little metal tabs are not holding them in so good. Does anyone have pointers on how to get these little guys to in tight.
