Hi;
I am thinking to build my 340 engine out of a 73 Charger. The motor will be a 410 or 416 stroker (need to check the cylinder wall) and I am considering to have it upgraded to TBI by using an EFI conversion kit. So I would like to know if anybody has any experience on a similar project. I have been looking around the net and come to some nice products from Edelbrock, EZ EFI, Holley and SpeedMaster but have no idea which one would offer better value per price. I appreciate if you could share your experiences with me.

I have not run at TBI setup, but from what little I've heard you get improved starting, throttle response & gas mileage. The trade-off is that carburetors give you more top-end and better 1/4-mile times.

Have you ever thought about stroking a 360 Magnum engine instead? There is a lot of info on FABO under magnum swap section that might interest you. People have used stock type Ram pickup fuel injection on stroker engines with great success, and a lot cheaper if you are interested in making the wiring mods to the stock wiring yourself.

Holley Terminator! It can grow with your wallet.....multiport injection! Fast EZ 1.0 is not so swell and you cannot set it to your liking unlike the Holley Terminator. I have it on my 383 Dart, haven't fired it up yet though, my buddy has it on a 340 Duster and he loves it! Works like a champ and as I said, as the hp goes up, so can the Holley and you get the free down load to the HP software which will let you or a "tuner" adjust all the parameters.

Here in Iran we don't access to the parts and must stick to what we have! The 340 is the original engine of my charger and I got a 400 block for future upgrade. The 400 is totally bare while the 340 has all the accessories so at this phase I need to focus on the 340.

Thanks for your reply, I had read about the Terminator in Holley website. Does it need any hardware upgrade as well after upgrading the software to HP version? Would you please share some experiences from your friends 340 Duster about before/after Terminator installation?
