65 hood ornament

need help guys. Wife is looking for hood ornament for my 65 satellite. Needs to have 383 callout. Anyone know where she can find one

It was a few years back but I got one from Year One.Yes it was for my 65, yes they do have stuff for the pre 66 Mopars.Worth checking it out.

I've got the original 67 Belvedere hood ornament ( don't know how it compares to the 65 ) and my car was originally a 383 car, but the ornament is blank - does not have the 383 call out on it ? ?

Go figure . . .

beginning to think that its a one year only type thing. 65's are fatter than 66 up and I believe only the big block cars in 65 got engine size

I believe it is a decal. My 65 ornament had a 318 decal that I am changing to 426. The decal has to be taken off very gently so as not to scratch the ornament.

Took a close look at mine & the 383 is definitely cast in & raised. "383" has a gold color surrounded by argent paint. Actually a fairly fancy item. Had one w/ a slant 6 with no emblem, believe 273's may be same.

I carefully peeled the raised 318 number metal decal out of my 65 Bel II ornament. Currently having it rechromed because it was pitted, and I have a 426 decal that I am placing in the area where the 318 number was. You can check with a guy named Charlie Quarters at [email protected] who has a lot of parts for a 65. He is also a member of this site.
