Can anyone advise the Carb to Aluminum Intake Torque Bolt Settings for A12 Roadrunner? Thanks for any help.

I don't have a service manual in front of me, but I think it's 25 ft.lbs. I've never put a torque wrench on mine.

if your referring to the carb mounting screws 5lftlbs would work. sometimes i just tighten them by hand with a nut driver.. keep in mind the aluminum is easy to mess up.

Thank you gentlemen. The aluminum intake was my cause for concern; and I will be conservative with the torque, crank it, and then see if the carb-to-intake bolts needs further tightening.

After tightening, double check the secondary throttle plates move freely and there's no sticking through the movement. Its scary as hell when they stick open momentarily. Ask me how I know. :(

FWIW, Larry Shepard's Six-Pack publication indicates 7 foot pounds. Then too, he is referring to "nuts" which would require studs instead of bolts.

Thank you gentlemen.

Gentlemen? Who stepped in?
