What would you do?

I'm with most. As long as it places that smile on your face, keep it. That in itself is worth it. Good luck!

Love it, take care of it and someday when you feel the need pass it along to someone else (who you deem worthy)....best of luck to you and God Bless.

That is one very clean car and makes me want to redouble my efforts with mine. My wife and I wish you the best life you can possibly have considering your circumstances. Good luck and KEEP THE CAR!!

I am sorry to hear about your health, my god father has ms (diagnosed at 38). I say keep the car. Life is a ticket game, there are too many tickets that make us unhappy so we need to hold onto all the ones that do the opposite, it makes you happy then thats all that matters...

A friend of my fathers lost his leg and foot (diabetes), he rode motorcycles his entire life, and even before they amputated he had to stop riding due to the disease... He sold his evo but has a gorgeous panhead, about the nicest 52' I ever seen in my life, he can't ride it obviously, but his sons remodeled the dining room to be a shrine to the bike, lol... They have the bike(exhaust piped out so he can start it up in the house) in their with some seating, pictures of him and the bikes he had over the years, I havent seen it personally but my father said its awesome and so well done..

Anyway, he sits in there and watches TV, just being near the bike makes him happy, its not all about the ride, I have guns I will never shoot, I have guitars I will never play, and vinyl albums that I wouldnt dare laying a needle on, all things that make me happy, its YOUR car, don't feel guilty about owning it for a second, I am sure you worked HARD to get it in your garage, there is no shame in letting her stay there for the sake of your smile...

similar to this but his has a custom rawhide/leather wrapped seat with the metal showing through in some spots...

All of you that said keep it, have convinced me. I do still get pleasure from having such an awesome car. It is also the year I got my license, 1967, and I remember these cars when they were new. They were way beyond the reach of a 16 year old. Even folks that were buying this car passed on the Hemi because it cost an additional $546! That is the main reason why only 733 were sold. Thank you all for validating my enjoyment of the car just knowing it is out in the garage.

Keep the car. Don't let a disability stop you.

As much as I love driving my old Belvedere around, a big part of the enjoyment of owning an old classic is just the beauty of it as it sits in the garage or driveway. I've spent many enjoyable hours talking to people who have just stopped by when they see the old Bel sitting in the driveway. I would keep your car for as long as you can. I'm keeping mine.
Sorry to hear about your health problems. Good luck to you and God bless.

I'm in that category too. If you are not eating Top Ramen noodles to save for insurance and fuel for it, enjoy the car as much as you can. If you sold it and didn't have it out there to play with, how do you think you'd feel?
Many here and elsewhere complain mostly about the cars rotting away in an unprotected condition. Outside in the elements just rusting away. This is different. You are getting actual pleasure from it while keeping it safe.
Personally, I respect you for asking this question. It shows you have class and are a man of respect.

years b ack I knew an elderly man too old to drive. he live wayyyy out in the sticks. everyday he would do out , start that old mopar, and sit there listening to its beautiful sound and fragrance. yes we have these old cars because it is therapy for all of us!!!! God Bless

I'm with the majority on here. Keep that beautiful car. You would be very depressed if you let it go once everything set in. I plan on letting someone inherit my GTX when that time comes. I'm like you - these cars are special - and yours is a special of the special catagory. Keep what makes you happy - let the rest go. God Bless and Merry Christmas.
