hey guys i don't really know where to find this info but was wondering if there was a place that listed the productions numbers for a 69 sport satellite. a guy close to me has one and my coworker is getting me pics to look at it for a potential purchase. he claims there was only 368 or so of these made. not sure what options it has besides power steering and ac and a console car. i pretty sure they made a lot more than 368 satellites. he stated its just like the roadrunner but called a satellite, which i know its the same body just different package. is there i way i can track these numbers down. i hope to get the pics next week or go see it in person but i want to be able to have a dollar number in my head on what to offer if it is limited number made. i believe it to be a complete car but will need truck pan and not sure what else. thanks

Luke

TOTAL production for 69 Sport Satellite 2 dr HTs in all engine and transmission configurations was about 15,807. For convertibles it was about 918 produced. (I presume it's not a station wagon but....about 3,221 two seat wagons and 3,152 three seat wagons)

If you know the engine and transmission combination, you can break it down a little further.

Proud to say that I have one of the 15,807. I would say the Sport Satellite was more akin to a GTX, obviously without the 440 -- top motor for a Sport Satellite was a 383. Mine came with a 318 2V, but will soon have a 440 4V! Too many people clone or modify their Sport Satellite's into GTX's. Not me.

I have one of the 69/3 seat wagons, was a 318 now a 440.

I also am very happy to own one of the Sport Satellites with a 318-2v. I changed out the 2v for a 4v.

I have owned my Sport Satellite since 1977, my uncle bought it new. 383, auto, a/c, console, bucket seats, like previously stated more of a GTX only without the 440. Although I had a 440 in it back in the day, what a runner!!! I could never see cloning it into something it wasn't.

buddy RIP)bought a brand new 68 sport sat 383 4 speed., when it turned 20. F5 with goldish int, and top.... he didn't like the road runner cartoon!!!! ha

He's asking 6500 for the car. It runs and drives. I
l try to post pics tomorrow. Want to see what you guys think it's worth.

I have a 69 sport satellite convertible,383 2 barrel ,single exhaust. Mine came with buckets,console,727,wood grain wheel, factory AC,tinted glass. The only sport sat rarer then mine would be if it had a four speed. What irks me is despite all of that a RR is what brings in the bigger value

That's pretty much what his came with but hardtop. I'm just trying to help him out a value on it. I'm trying to get pics today

I wish that I had checked the underside and the trunk areas and rear frame rails. Check those areas on this one too. Good Luck with this one!

All depends on rust issues, how is car underneath and body/floors

the guy who took those pics said "the usual rust" hes not a mopar guy, he cant remember either. i might be able to go look at it, he thinks a pillars, trunk, runs and drives, ac works when charged has leak, needs front area cowl work and rear window area work, 56k original miles?, 383 2bb, i don't think he looked at it very good. i think hes trying to make some money off me by being the middle man. he is in sales.

he said 5k is what he's asking. matching numbers. the fender tag should tell the rest of the story.

If it needs no rust repair on underbody and minimal rust on body, maybe 5 and thats if it does not need engine/tranny work. Anything other then that its not worth 5 grand. The fact that its a complete number's matching car is nice but not 5 grand nice. Now that front grille. Forget if it needs paint,if its not broken its worth a few hundred or more easy. The trunk panel if not pitted and in good shape is worth some money as are the taillight bezels. If those parts alone are beyond repair, then forget it... The AC system would need to be completely rebuilt, there is no such thing as a leak on a 46 year old car and God knows the last time it worked. Don't get me wrong its a nice car if you are willing to restore it and get it for the right numbers... Good luck

i understand where you are coming from. this is the reason i posted here, i value yalls opinion. I'm in the process of selling my truck and will be looking for a car for my wife. i figured this would be good with power steering and a/c and auto. not worried about resale, but at the same time i don't wanna get ripped.

Luke, don't get me wrong,if you like the car and can get it for the right numbers then go for it. Today all i hear is buy a finished car, well i don't know about other guys but id never be able to swing buying a finished car and besides i like building my car to were I'm comfortable with it. The sad part for me is there is to much emphasis put on RR and GTX. A nice Sport Satellite is every bit as nice but know were near worth the same money and its costs the same to restore.

I think 2d HT #4 condition might be a typo and probably should be closer to 3-4K.

I'm also looking at buying a 69 Sport Satellite. Reading down thru the responses I don't think I saw an answer to the production totals on a 383 with AT and AC. Anyone know what that is?
