All I can say is, it was everything it's been made out to be and more. Best time I've had at the movies in years.

I had a feeling the franchise might be in better hands with Disney versus the last few "kinder, gentler" efforts from Lucas.

If Disney's "Star Wars Rebels" series is any indication of the direction the franchise is headed in.....

Awesome, Bru, I am going to go see it with the kids when it calms down a bit maybe a week before it closes, lol, my kids have never seen any of them, SO I bought some box sets for xmas, and Ill watch them with them, and then go from there.. I am not sure how they will like it, I can tell you they thought ET was dumb, BUT they love Godfather, scarface, full metal jacket, and deer hunter??? Weird, so gangster and war movies are OK, but ET was ill received.... They also love goonies and karate kid though???? We will see after the holidays...

I think aside from money, Disney didn't put much of anything into this movie. This was Abrams all the way, from the battles, to the conflicts, to the humor. It's definitely not targeted to kids, and they even got away from that kid-friendly crap that Lucas and Spielberg always try to work into their movies. There's no kid heroes, geniuses, sidekicks, or any of that crap. The only kids in the movie get executed by storm troopers in the first five minutes. :)

There were a couple of younger kids sitting behind us, like 8-10 year olds, and they seemed to be feeding more off the vibe from the rest of the audience, which was mostly adults, than responding on their own. I heard one kid asking "is that Leia, is that Han solo", etc. because they had a tough time recognizing the actors now.

Cool cant wait..... Was hoping to break away and go to Florida and see it with one of the key members of anything Star Wars...my oldest daughter. Looks like wont happen. So I'll go see it with my wife...the youngest just isn't interested.

Just came home from seeing it. Was good. My wife asked a lot of questions though.

I'm going tomorrow morning with the wife and kids, can't wait to see it!
