I like that show as i like all cars and i find his discovery's interesting. His mechanic Roger is a funny guy, seems very down to earth. I think he is a excellent mechanic, old school and one of the best. What do you think?

I agree. I like the show for some reason. Probably because its educational to me. I haven't heard of half the cars he finds. That makes it interesting i suppose. Otherwise the wine sipping concourse de'elegance investor crowd doesn't appeal to me at all. Roger is great though. They dont make them like that anymore

I like the show too, he doesn't waste his time with muscle cars though.

Sonny would rather see The Roger Show,........the other old guy is a passive-pompous ***.

only serving "the 17 mile people"
:eusa_think:

I enjoy the show. He snags some very rare and exotic vehicles that I've never heard of. His shop is 25 minutes from me in Portland, CT. I've passed by it many times. He always has some cool cars on his lot!!

Sonny, my bride agrees with you. There is something about Wayne Carini that really rubs her the wrong way.

Same with my old lady she thinks he is a crook that rips off elderly women.

love roger tho

I always thought Wayne Carini was an arrogant, pompous *** also. I quit watching because if I had to listen to another story about a Concours d'Elegance I was afraid my head would explode. Roger is a hoot, needs his own show.

real men choose MoPar muscle

My Brother and I called, e mailed & over again...we had a question for him (about my brothers concourse '29 ford softtop roadster) ....THE little Wayne man never called ,nor e-mailed back.....

"Everyone should own a Ferrari at least once in their life!" - Wayne Carini.

Guess what? Wayne is a Ferrari guy.

I like the show. He has a LOT of different cars on there, including an occasional muscle car. But, that is not where his business specializes, either. Hell, if all he had were muscle cars, he'd be the same as at least six other shows out there. Frankly, I'm glad he rarely has one. My tastes run from brass-era cars all the way up to new Challengers. I'm impressed that they get cars that have been parked 60 or 70 years and get them back up and running and restored. So he deals in six-figure cars? So what!

Let's think about how many calls and tips he gets on a daily basis. I'd bet a hundred, if not more. Your 1929 Ford probably doesn't fit into what he or his clients are looking for. Guess what? You probably aren't going to get an answer.

I agree. I can't watch any show that Carini is on for very long. I always get the impression that unless you're stinking rich, you are wasting his time. Lots of better stuff to watch.

Because Leno is not in the business of buying and flipping. He has a huge collection that he enjoys. Carini is a car restorer AND a salesman. He can afford to be a pompous ***, and I bet he doesn't lose sleep about it. Hey, more power to him.

BTW, if you've ever had the occasion to visit a high-dollar car operation in your town like Carini has, I'd bet dollars to donuts that the proprietor of that establishment is probably as arrogant. There are at least four here in the OKC area that I can name that fit the bill.

I find Carini very interesting to watch. I learn something new every day about old cars from that show. The guy has been around cars his whole life and can actually turn a wrench, paint a car, and tune an engine. Lots of others like him into those high-end cars don't know a box wrench from potato salad.

Ditto! I find the concourse scene nauseating, and I could really do without that British accented auctioneer who can't decide if he's growing a beard or not.

Count me in with the Roger fan club. I bet he would be a blast to work with and learn from.

When was your guys first date?? LOL just giving you a hard time man......Carini is a slimy troll, like many hi end car guys.....They love money, not cars.

Very funny Dave, my bride feels the same way and even said "what is the deal with his beard or did he forget to shave?"

Best show of 2016. Roger & Ed China backed up by Norm and Tom Silva. These guys really are capable of fixing stuff. They also have a very strong ability to teach. Put it on public TV so it doesn't turn in to a hour long commercial. Dave

Roger and Ed China should get together get their own show. Be awesome. Be 14ft tall between the two of them lol
