Hello all, I have a 1972 Dodge Charger, I'm in need of a 440 Magnum or R/T Hood. I'm not sure if the Air Grabber setup would work (I really like the Air Grabber setup). I need additional clearance for the air cleaner. At the moment, I have an under-sized air cleaner (it clears the stock hood with minimum rubbing), and it's not allowing the correct air flow to the carb.

Can anybody point me in the direction to begin my search for; One, Magnum 440 or R/T Hood for a 1972 Dodge Charger ?

VFN fiberglass- $600 and up plus shipping.

Stinger Fiberglass- $600 and up plus shipping.

Swap meet- $1000 and up.

An original power or bulge hood is your best option. There getting more difficult to find, but the search is worth it. Typical shipping is $300+. Fiberglass? I've read some less than desirable reports on mopar magazines regarding the fiberglass hoods. Poor quality, corrective sanding and body work required. Not sure about warpage, but large hoods then your warp over time. Sold three units this year. Hoods I collected over a ten year period. $1000-$1200. Noon for sale at this time.
