What's it worth ...

Yeah he budged a bit - not enough to make it worth me flat bedding it out for the rear.

Cluster is pretty much close to mint - as is the console- just shows normal age ...

He said rear is not frozen but probably would need bearings and seals ..

The hood needs work - the sun roof isn't work cutting out .. Should have some salvageable parts tho.

He said console is worth 500 and dash 1000

I don't see that at all.

Oh, the steering wheel is stock he says - might be worth a good buck ..

Yeah - I'm no Mopar guy but I've been around the collision business for 25 years ..

I got say that he might be emotionally attached just a bit ..

He's got parts up the wazzou.. Trailers full ,

Three or four 68 chargers, two fountain 35 footers, two Benz UniMogs, a z28 - he's got crap everywhere ..
But it's not a mess. Kinda neat ..

Very nice guy too..

I have two sun roof dodges and a spare unit. That sun roof on this charger, its not worth it, if the entire roof is rusted, the unit needs parts you can not find unless you own one. I do like the steering column and dash, too bad the power hood looks ruff, most likely gone due to rust and damaged. perhaps there are more good parts. If its sold locally it's worth $1000-$1200, If you need to ship or transport, the cost needs to be considered. Where is the car??????????????

The bulge hood isn't bad. Needs one patch underside and the top side is surface rust - very restorable ..

You know - I didn't really look. .. I was more concerned with the rear end and the cars up against a gate. I think it was there. ..

I'm game to grab the car if I know I can get other guys to buy the cluster and console - I'd fix the hood and prep it for paint and offer that up for a forum friendly price as well ..

He's at $1200.
I'd do $1000 and wouldn't mind just making enough back to justify getting the rear end.

a couple additional points if not rotten as well... the frame rails, has disk brakes, big block K-frame, the passenger side inner fender, harder to find longer torsion bars, possible rear sway bar, plus all the things already mentioned including the floor shift and linkages if still there of course... food for thought anyway.

K Frame is there and decent .. Not sure about the linkage to the shifter ..

I got disappointed when I saw the roof and rot so I didn't really look at what else might be salvageable.

I'd have to have the car disassembled and gone in a weeks time .. I could store the smaller parts ..

He said it was the stock steering wheel.. It's very cool and good condition.

Yeah. Looks like a tuff wheel. Wouldn't be surprised it came with the car but that wheel is an upgrade option.

I've seen Rallye dashes listed on ebay for $300+... for well over a year without selling. They're selling at between $100 and $200. There's been a guy in Ocala trying to sell a 71-74 8.75 for four years now, and he's only asking $400. Used consoles are selling under $100, but the linkages and mounts are going for closer to $200.

Seems like everyone really needs, and wants to buy, parts until you have some. Then all of a sudden they just don't have the money for them. I just learned this lesson the hard way, so you need to take a really realistic view of how much you expect to get back off this junker. I would take a jack and two stands out there and find out if the rear is sure grip or not. If it isn't, the car is worth about $400 tops. If it is, maybe $800.

It's an SE car ..

that ain't no SE car. That's a hardtop or coupe. The SE had the louvered side windows with a special vinyl top. The hood is also different on the SE to contain the Special Edition emblem. Also, the suspension is different between the SE and the hardtop/coupe chargers. And the SE charger did not have the rallye option with the bulge hood, graduated body stripes, etcetera.
