I am looking for a Trailer hitch for my 66 Charger. If you have one you would to sale let me know.

Did chrysler make one or was it possibly a dealer installed option? I had a '67 500 w/ one and always wondered if it was a dealer option. Will post if I get a chance - if anyone knows please let us know - kind of curious.

The one I had was an aftermarket hitch that I bought back in the day. Now I need one to replace the one I had and sold.

Chrysler gave the plans to make them in their literature (possibly the back of the owners manual, but I don't recall for sure) up til the early 70's. Attached is a screen shot from a Dart that I grabbed when researching hitches for my wagon at the time.

Did it attach to the bumper area only or go towards the front of the car like the Dart example I posted above?

all the Charger hitches I took off cars were cheap junk back then....they were bolted to the 2 lower license plate bumper holes and then a flat bar was attached to the spare tire well with 2 more bolts....I would not have towed a lawnmower with that set-up....

make your own to mount to frame rails or have someone build you one....

this is mine mounted to the tie-down plates

Buddy of mine has one he took off a 67 Dart

I made one for a 66 Belvedere in the early 70's using the tie down tabs and bumper. It wasn't much but it was good enough to tow another car using a tow bar. The A body hitch might work if you modify it to fit since the A body is a smaller car....
