It sounds great when people say that they will give away some of their money to charity. It makes us sound benevolent and we feel good about it.

If we decide to give back to someone that helped us in times of need, wouldn't that be a good way to add a personal touch?

Who was there for you when you really needed it? Who stayed late, went the extra mile or put themselves out on your behalf?

Some feel that our Veterans deserve it because without them, our way of life could have been very different.

Some want to help their family, maybe buy their Parents a nice house or something big.

700 million dollars has a way of making people think. The odds of winning are so far against us, but it is fun to think about, right? Doesn't it seem unfair and criminal how much you'd lose in taxes? It is nothing short of robbery, a Mob boss has more decency than the tax man does.

We have heard of how SO many Lottery winners wish that they never had won.
We hear some say after winning..."I'm not quitting my job at Wal Mart"

Wouldn't it be fun to secretly give money to people that deserve it? I'm not talking about some organized charity, but to individual people or families. You could have a small staff of people that look for people in need. The whole thing could be done without ever telling them your name.

I'd also like to pal up with AMD and start reproducing parts for cars that makes NO financial sense. I'd love to make 68-70 Charger bodies, 68-70 Coronets, Road Runners... Maybe even the Mopars that I've never liked that much.

How would you spend it?

I would become the poster child for the word "eccentric."

NONE OF US KNOW, another forum I am on a guys said "I would borrow money off everyone I know and take off to an island somewhere"...

And its not just the $400m, figure that money can double itself every 10 years even if you half *** invest it..

I honestly don't think I would change much, I AM NOT LEAVING MY HOUSE, my wife said "we would leave for the winters" and then we both looked at each other and said "nope, we wouldn't", we just love it here.. I would give all my business property to my employees, I have 3 houses I lease to really good hardworking families, and they would get quit claim deeds for free, the rest of the realestate I would give to people I think work harder than they are credited for...

After that I would not spread around my donations, I would call Steve and AL at WWP and ask them for a LIST... I would umbrella under wwp (they are amazing, and just know how to get stuff done) and buy a HUGE commercial mill, I have the perfect one in mind, for sale at about $10sf!!! I would subdivide it into handy capped accessible specialty housing, I figured it out I can get 60 1200 sq foot homes in there, plus a nice PT / gym rehab center, nice big common area, restaurant that the public can come to but the wounded vets can get their 3 meals a day from, I would focus on the vets that are with out families, there are plenty out there...
It would be epic...

As for me and my family I am happy how we are, I guess I wouldnt push my kids so hard since it wouldnt matter much at that point, I would just be happy with them being good boys...

It would be nice to give away to someone that would appreciate it.

Man what I would do.well first things first send my parents on a long vacation then get a crew to go threw there house and just rip it down and rebuild it brand new so they won't have anymore problems my father won't fix anyways, also would make my father retire and get his leg fixed .
Then go down the list pay off my
Brothers house
My best friends house
my in-laws house
My brother in-laws house
And buy a house for a very good friend that has had nothing but hard times since I've known him
Then there's one guy I need to take care of the most this guy is getting up there in age and he hauls my cars for me (I pay him good) but his truck and trailer are junk so I will take him to the dodge dealer and tell him to pick one ! Then take him over to a trailer dealer and let him custom order what he wants . Then I would give him as much cash as he needs to retire pay his debut off and then he can finely relax ,I feel bad working this old man but what can I say he's damn good they don't make them like that anymore.then I'd start shopping for myself.
New huge storage garage then a
69 Dodge Daytona 426 4 speed orange exterior black interior
71 cuda hemi shaker car plum purple
71 Rt charger 440 4 speed
31 Buick 4 door
47 Buick super or roadmaster fastback
A 68 or 70 charger all blacked out with blower
67 Shelby gt500 Elinor
the bat man forever bat mobile
And anything else that catches my fancy especially older pre war cars .

And I will hire a young kid to detail maintain all my cars

Oh yeah and guns lots of guns so yeah if anyone did the math I'd be broke very quickly but it would be one hell of a week or two .

This is kinda fun saying what we would buy come on everyone I might steal your ideas

i dont think thats a bad idea at all.
maybe even toss some amcs in the mix too.

that should be part 2 of this topic,
how long do yall think it would take to spend it ;)
lol!

If I won, I would take care of immediate and extended family. Take my honey on a round the world trip(skip the middle east), start and build a corporation that buy money making companies in order to continually fund and support charities for vets, homeless, and of course the diseased and disabled. I have a quadriplegic son who didn't deserve what happened to him and what happened was preventable. God has grown me up a little over this issue, and now I realize he's a living angel, but what about the next kid who doesn't deserve the same thing to happen to him?

Last thing. I would pay Chris Stapleton a handsome sum to perform at my wife's birthday party!!

I'd give my business to my employees, stop working and take damn good care of my immediate family and f**k everyone else.

And so wouldn't 99% of everyone else here. :icon_fU:

No idea what I'd do??? I know for a fact I'd retire but I'm pretty content in life.

I'd love to help the Christians in the middle east that are being slaughtered............. the zero sure as hell isn't going to lift a finger.

i'm with steve from staten island. what good is all that money if you don't have your health?
i'd give most of it away after taking care of family first. it's got to be stressful having that much money. people will start hounding you, strangers knocking on your door etc, etc, etc........

i would make sure the local hookers would be well taken care of....

Pay off the college debt for my youngest for starters then give a good portion to my favorite charity and then do my best to make Bruce Jenner quit being a woman

I'd invest the majority of it and let the interest pay for family, friends, and create a charity for 1. underprivileged children so they can play sports 2. build a couple rec centers in low income neighborhoods 3. create a mega non profit car restoration company to restore/fix/upgrade car for good people (kind of like Overhaulin).

The part I don't invest I'd spend on myself and my girlfriend.

Awe to dream only IF I had a 1/2 a billion $$$'s after taxes

I'm really not sure what I'd actually do with it, IMO most people wouldn't really actually know...
BUT I'd like to think I'd do something good too after I take care of family etc....

I'd start a few scholarship funds for people that want to get into, drag racing, automotive & fabrication industry...

Maybe build a drag-strip, maybe a racing or even a automotive fabrication school...
Actually where I'm not sure, really political crap surrounds them now....
I'd try to hire my bros. Mark & my sister Candy to help run it, over see it,
employ a bunch of local people in need, make it the best in the area...

I'd probably go back drag racing pretty much full time again,
But pay someone to drive, and maintain the truck & trailer full time, fly into races,
probably Nostalgia stuff & on my own schedule thou, not points racing, just for fun...
Probably build a couple Pro-Mods or Build a couple Fuel Altereds...

I'd have all my direct family, even my loser bros. Tim taken care of &
I'd probably put the $$$ in a revocable trust fund,
then dole it out in stages & not in a lump sum, sit back & see/watch,
then give more to those that do good things, not just piss it away...

I'd build a big bad a$$ automotive fabrication shop,
specializing in Racecars, Pro-Touring & Mopars...
Then I'd try & hire a ton of truly qualified people, for a great wage, that have shown
that have busted their collective a$$es for years, with little to no recognition or compensation...

I'd give a big chunk, set up a trust fund to support Wounded Warriors for injured veterans
I'd give a big chunk to St. Jude & Shriners hospitals
I'd give a big chunk to Cancer Centers of America
I'd build a youth center here in Ca. {Sonora maybe}, recreational center,
go cart track, golf course, batting cage, ball fields, something for kids,
with lots of security...LOL

I'd buy a big hunk of property, mountain top big enough to have all my family have houses/cabins there & maybe a winter home with a hill overlooking the pacific ocean
& surf somewhere...
Even if Calif. taxes/liberal political crooks would eat up a big chunk...LOL

No matter what;
I'd have a huge separate shop-garage,
fully equipped, all the machinery, mill, lathe, CNC etc.
the lifts & tools you'd ever need...
& really a nice house, maybe 3500sqft or so, not too big not too small,
not so big I'd need a elevator or have to hire maid & butler...LOL
But big enough so when you have guests, family or friends, it's not too crowded or cramped, but small enough to still be close...
It'd have a killer kitchen & bathrooms & a killer man cave too,
lots of marble, lots of granite, lots of nice hardwood, with a really nice pool,
really nice pool house/separate in-laws cottage,
with lots of porch space all around the whole house etc.,
like an old southern plantation style/look, pillars & all...

Awe yes to dream...LOL
