Well fellas the bird is getting a new coat. I am trying to sell on color and its down to two. Gunmetal grey or pearl white. I know its polar opposites but I'm torn. All the trim is going flat black as well as the hood and wheels. The grey is nice and mean but the white is classic and the black would pop. So, what do you all think! Thanks.

I love white. And if the paint is a true Pearl it's not stock. Which means nothing to me. I painted my GTX Lexus Pearl burgundy and love it. The original color was a stock maroon. No regrets. If you have a true Pearl I'd go with that.

Are you jambing the car too, what color is it now?

I was always partial to nissan and lexus pearl whites

Yup seventy the whole thing. It's b5 blue right now. Getxd, can I see some pics of yours, I would doa true pearl. Going non stock doesn't bother one but either:headbang:

yah B5 blue and f8 green, about the only 2 colors I would just have to change, not because they are appalling just because they are so popular... seems almost every roadrunner is f8 green, lol...

When ever I do a color change I try to google the car and color to see if anyone else did it already and what it looks like...

I vote grey but do like the pearl white too.

A buddy just did his 71 Chally in gun metal and it is an amazing colour! It was between white and gun metal as well..he is very happy with his choice.

Funny to hear another between grey and white. I didn't think the white would have a pull, I just don't want it to look blah on a bigger b body ya know.

Seven, I have tried looking but can find many mopars in those colors, seems like we are to much of purist's around here. Haha

if I don't go back with original color, I pick a factory color for that year. I love white cars, but don't want a herd of them, so change colors sometimes. just me. my cars are basically stock, but I will change over engines, and to disc brake etc.

cars that seem " right' to me with going to non factory colors are the reto mods and touring stuff. put on a set of 18 in rims, non factory seats, custom instrument panel, fucky steering and k member , and it begs for a non factory paint job!????

Bar, I hear you, thats kind of what I'm moving towards that look. Although not full pro touring, but throwing on some 18's is not out of the question.

black on gray is a lot sharper than on white. best examples are chevelle and camero ss models the black stripes on gray is awesome just goggle them

Grey would be different but I like the white to.

I think gun metal is it. I will post some pics when done, here it is now.

I'd leave it blue. Go look in a new car lot. Every car in the world is white,grey/silver/black.

I like the blue to but there is a lot of blue birds out there. Good looking ride

If you ever get a ding or a bad spot in the finish the pearl is tuff to spot in. most case's you end up repainting the whole panel and blending onto any other panels , like hood to fender tops , door to fender , qt to door ect.
Pearl looks great but its like working with a candy color when it comes to repairs or touch ups.
