I don't know about that,
my roommate back in 1980's was a Full on crazy *** Cajun from La.,
Lived in Palmer Wasilla & Anchorage
There's lots of military people in Anchorage area too, lots of transplants there,
hardly anyone is actually from Alaska, they all come from south somewhere...
Maybe not the deep south...LOL

Is Fincastle any where near Volney? I think you are considered a Confederate American. I always put that on the census. They don't know how to handle it.

Actually, it was never said, but it was assumed that the Clampetts were from the Missouri Ozarks.
There seems to be some debate whether Missouri was "North" or "South".
Rednecks are everywhere.
