Just wondering how the vacuum system works on a 68 charger. I have the three black vacuum hoses coming from the headlight switch but not sure where they go or where i get vacuum from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you! I only have one 3/8 vacuum port on the intake manifold which im guessin is for the power brakes. Is there anywhere else i can get vacuum from for the headlights like the carb or should i find a fitting with the smaller port. Thanks

The pic is a bit unclear. I have 3 lines coming from the firewall grommet but am still unclear on the vacuum port from the intake manifold and how it routes. Is it a 1/4" line that goes to the vacuum canister under the battery. Are there any specific colour codes for routing the wires. Thanks

Any manifold vacumm should work, I use one of thoses multi port fittings with one 3/8 and a few 1/8 ports screwed into the intake behind the carb. I can't tell you for certain what is factory correct since I did mine custom but manifold vacuum in my opinion should feed the vacuum canister, the switch fed from it leaving the open and close vacuum hoses to be routed to the buckets.

It should be very similar to the air grabber setup, from manifold vacuum to canister to center of switch, then the other two to headlight actuator (if it works backwards reverse them)
Also the canister has an inlet and outlet, they have to be hooked up correctly to work.
The manifold fitting should have 3/8 for brakes and a 1/4 tee for headlights.

Here is a diagram for a air grabber that may help, I don't know if the color codes are correct for your Charger though.
