I finally tracked down dust / grease caps for pre-1973 Mopars that look correct and were cheap. Some things don't bother me at all, and my car is far from perfect, but finding the right caps became a mission. And sometimes these details are just cool touches especially for a nice car.

The originals were all banged up on my 67, and the parts store has 73 and up which are slightly larger as I'm sure many have found out the hard way. The required mounting diameter is 1.790". Even the slightest amount over and they don't fit. Anyhow the correct part number is 1613416, and they were only 20 for the pair. Not sure if I can post the vendor but PM me if you want the details.

That's why I haven't been getting mail... Thanks!

I also found customer service to be very good. Their online VIN verification did not go back to 1967 so they emailed me to clarify. Really couldn't ask for more for a shot in the dark, online purchase.

Is the grease cap the same with disc or drum up front??

Looks like a MOPAR part and valid part number? If so, you should be able to order it from any Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealer.

Probably, but not for less than 10 bucks a pop... this is the cheapest place I have found them, and they are legit

These look pretty legit and yeah the price is good. Thanks for posting for the rest of us.

That said, has anyone found any after-market or custom ones that will fit? I haven't found anything; was looking for something cool like maybe a spike.

A few years ago looked at ordering those caps from a dealership. $40 EACH. Told 'em to shove it.

Looks like this needs to be brought back up.

And you got my pea brain rolling. Any machinist worth his salt should be able to make a pair of dust cover spikes from aluminum....and I have some :D Never thought about doing that lol Thanks!
