Over the years Ive read articles on how to modify a 5.9 to run as an old school setup. For example a 2000 ram truck 5.9 for use in a 74 b body.

1. Replace intake manifold designed for the later engine to support carb set up.
2. Replace distributor to 360 type
3. Install ignition module and related wiring.
4. Exhaust would be basic dual setup

After the above I' not sure about other revision. Any ideas or suggestions

Oil pan and pickup tube for your chassis.
Having a converter balanced specifically 5.9 magnum. Personally, I'm using the weighted flex plate from a 2003 Durango and a neutral balance non-lockup for a 46RH
No provision for mechanical fuel pump, need electric. I THNK there are cams that can be had with the correct snout for a eccentric but you'll have to use LA timing cover and accessories.

Magnumswap.com covers just about everything you'll need to know. :)
