In my efforts to find my Dad's A12 Road Runner ordered new, I spoke with a long time friend of his John. My Dad passed in 2001 so I do not often see his friends. As I understand John said the second owner of the car who purchased it from my dad said it moved to Central Canada. May be Saskatchewan. It then made it's way to the Midwest, Wisconsin, Michigan maybe he indicated. At that time it may have been in an accident. Below is a copy of a post I have on this site and others A12_road_runner_pro-streeter_s_dad3.jpg with some additional details. Hope this new info sparks some memories of the car. Thanks everyone

Help me find RM23M9A280114 INFO please a little history

Looking for my Dad's A12 F3 Frost Green Road Runner. My dad and mom purchased it new from Tekoa Motors Tekoa WA. Last I understand it had been sold to somebody in Canada in the early 1980's. It was purchased from a gentleman named Wayne Hansen second owner in Spokane Washington. It was painted White at that time. Any information on this would be appreciated. If the car has been damaged or parted any of the remaining parts Engine Trans (Automatic) Hood, shell, etc I am interested. If the car is not for sale I would like to still provide my contact information if it is to be sold in the future. I do have the original Edlebrock intake and 6 barrel Holley carbs that dad removed around 1972. He sold them to a friend who got them to me a couple years ago. My dad has passed away and the car has good memories for me. He often said it would be mine when I grow up. Thanks for any help
Thanks, Dave JR

I would strongly suggest you contact Dave Watt he keeps all the VIN and options on A12's that we can gather. He has a true passion for the A12's and is a super nice guy. Not sure if he's on this site maybe someone can chime in. I know he's on Moparts and the A12 board. Dave can tell you how many F3 cars we have VIN info on. Lots of A12's In Michigan and NY. Good Luck I hope that helps you.... my A12 is like no other car I have owned to drive.

Thanks for the information. I have contacted the A12 board and Dave. The car has not surfaced there yet. One can only hope.

I hope the car surfaces for you. The pic is very cool do you know the story about who took the decals off the hood and wrote Plymouth? How long was it before the steel wheels came off and the mags went on?

My Dad removed the decal from the hood. It is hard to see but the hooked heart in Red and the Plymouth are painted on. The H wheels came off around 1972 for the ET slots. The photo was taken right around that same time 1972 73 range

I have a technique for bringing back old photos, increasing sharpness but retain shot color integrity. It is hard to do in photoshop alone.

Hope you don't mind I gave it a go too..

I did send them an email with the details of the car about a year ago. I never did get a response back. Suppose I could call him and ask.

Thanks for the suggestion

Hmmm,
Daunting task...

If...If you can not find the car, I have a suggestion: Build a CLONE of your Dad's A-12

That is the plan. I do have the original carbs and intake from the car. I am looking for any other parts that may still remain. I have heard however unable to confirm that the engine and trans had been put in a race car. I am still trying to get as much information as I can. If I could just get some buyer history, and what may have come of any part of the car that is my current goal. I would be interested in any part of the car right down to a fender, door, hood, engine trans, etc.... Could be not much is still around or it could still be sitting somewhere in Canada or the Mid-West. I was able to get a little information that in could have been in Saskatchewan Canada in the 1980's. It then could have made it's way to the Midwest, Wisconsin, Michigan. That said the trail is cold and I have not been able to confirm any of this.

Thank you for following my post and advice.

Another bit of information. Calgary Canada could also be where it went. I am confident that it did go to Canada in the early 80's. So it spent time in Canada after it was bought in Spokane. The person who purchased it was a Canadian Drag Racer from what I understand.

I have found an F3 383 car. I am considering this purchase and a clone project. Wanted to bring this to the top again to see if new members or old may have some (new) information on my search.
Keeping my fingers crossed

UPDATE
As I now understand a gentleman named Simon Bak in Western Canada in the early to mid 80's bought it. A Spokane resident may have connected the buyer and seller at the time, his name was Steve Hughes who has since pasted. He (Simon Bak) sold it to a dealer PK auto in Ontario Canada. As I have found out PK auto advertised in Auto Trader Canada for several years. No longer in business from what I can find. I am still looking for any part of this car complete or remains. Please help if you can.

Thanks in advance

I haven't seen a f3 6 pack runner in south eastern WI. It's a pretty rare color. I know what your going through, I'm trying to find my dad's old superbee and dart gts with no luck.

I have GTS convertible that came from WI.

Hey Pro-Streeter,

I used to visit Pk Auto from time to time. They used to be located 10 min. from my home. Then they moved another 5 min. north. If you need me to verify if they are still there I will. I know how important it is for you to find this car.
