well guys outside of fresh gas and cleaning carb on it she runs great. fresh battery. great oil pressure no over heating...how ever. i have no heat. my tail lights wont work. and i have no brakes. i also need some parts if any one has any. i need a windshield and molding. a gas tank ( i patched mine but not trusting it) a brake booster and radiator for a 318. the reason for all this is because my daily driver **** out on me. im low on money and have no other choice but to put my 72 back on the road cause i have to have a way to work im pretty desperate. at the same time very excited my car is out of the weeds and still running like a champ. im in ohio but il pay for shipping. also is there any way i can put my heat on a toggle switch? like to the fan? and has any one found a alterntive heat switch or somthing i can use out of somthing else? no one has parts for this thing here. it sucks. as far as my brakes the pedal is stiff you push it down and it just gets stuck it doesnt spring back? but feels like theres pressure there. idk maybe the booster went bad possibley?? also i have drum brakes front and back

After that many years, i would think you entire brake system, master cylinde, lines, proprtioning valve, etc. should be cleaned out and/or replaced. I am sure you have dried up fluid in there. I ran into this problem with my car and had to clean out section by section to get the fluid to flow.
Good Luck.

how did you get the bad gunkey fluid out man??

Try disconnecting the lines at each end and using compressed air.

That is exactly how I did it. I would suggest that you wear safety goggles. I had a bunch of old fluid fly out and hit me in the face while doing the rear axel.

Regarding your heater. I assume your blower is not working. Check under your dash right side just below glove box for the location of the blower motor resistance network. If you have a three position switch. The block will have four connection. One is power to blower motor. The other three are inputs from the switch. Check the inputs as you move the heater switch. If no input your fuse is blown or a wiring or switch problem. If you an output to motor than your motor is bad. If you have all inputs and no output to motor the resistive network is defective. Good luck
