Was he drawing his gun or trying to show them he had one and going to surrender it? Poor kids in that truck what a scary mess. Cop in the woods looked like he was tasering him but can't tell.

Ah, it looked like he was "Drawing" as far as I'm concerned.

The guy behind him shot the deadly shots.

Gee, what ever happened to getting out of your vehicle and putting your HANDS UP?
 
Looked to me that he did put his hands up after he got out of the vehicle. Then, maybe changed his mind, and looked to me to be drawing out Something? Looks pretty plain to me.
 
His first mistake was running, right then and there is where he sealed the deal for the feds, shoot first collect the dead later as we used to say lol He then made another dumb mistake by trying to run around the second blockade and got stuck, inadvertently hitting a dumbass fed who thought he would be smart and get out in front of the truck moron! that signal to the feds hiding behind their doors and trucks that this guy was out to kill them trying first with his vehicle even though that was completely random, then instead of keeping his hands up or putting his hands over his head or putting himself against the truck hands and legs spread he decides to walk away from the truck putting himself out in the open for an easy target, then his final undoing regardless of conversation going on reached into his jacket not once but twice, fatal move.

Sadly watching him lay on the ground with his last breath reach for his family in the truck, very sad thing to see. From another account there were kids in that truck as those feds tossed flash grenades at the car, then blasting it with a shotgun not sure what the intent there was other than to scare the occupants into complying. Just goes to show the feds are not properly trained. I'm sure this video is being used as a training tool now.
 
......I don't believe these cops were out to kill anyone. Mr Bundy chose his path into this situation, and the cops had every right to defend their lives. There has been so much focs surrounding officers of late, acting too soon, or killing a perp who they believed to be a threat. If you commit crimes....you're going to die. Too may people, and too many cameras do not make anyone safe.....just more visible.....
 
Dumbass yes for getting in the way but when the bad guy ran into him with his vehicle going around roadblock, it is seen as bad guy using deadly force with vehicle. If you get out and don't surrender immediately, run away or make motions like drawing a weapon, (if he did), you're gonna get shot!

Anytime someone gets shot, it is a terrible event for all those involved!
 
His name wasn't Bundy, it was Lavoy Finicum. He was very active last several months taking down all the surveillance cameras all over the BLM managed land. What they were there for is still very X-Files 'ish. He made no bones about what he was doing, he didn't destroy the cameras, he said he was going to take them back to the officers. You can't play 'nice' with these people. You have to be all in, or all out. No half assing it or else you'll end up dead like this poor chap.
 
Sad thing is, these guys didn't hurt anyone. They didn't cause any property damage. One of them was killed and I believe it was unnecessary.

On the other hand, we had another group of people who caused $100's of millions of dollars of damage in different cities and no force was used against them. Wonder what's up with that?
 
There are several stories coming out now, one claims there is land there that China wants and obummer promised them the land to buy. Others Say Lavoy wasn't reaching for his gun in his jacket, he was shot on that side and was by reaction grabbing for the wound.

The say he kept his gun on his leg like a cowboy not inside under his arm, they are also saying after being shot in the side they also shot neck and the back of the head.


Still, the bottom line is he ran! if he hadn't ran and just surrendered he would most likely be alive. The FBI however are claiming he reached inside his jacket for a gun as justification for shooting him.

And for those who compare this to ruby ridge or waco TX be clear those whacked out freaks at waco were insane not ranchers making a statement.

I'll just have to trust, that the authority/LEO's did what they had too...

I didn't really agree with the occupation on the BLM land really either,
it was peaceful & it was unoccupied at the time...

Occupy Wall Street-Oakland-SF-LA-NYC-ATL or the St. Louis Ferguson etc. etc. etc.
protesters were far worse IMO
none even were prosecuted for the rapes, riots, looting, burning, pillaging,
loss of business income, arson, trespassing, unlawful gatherings without permits
or robberies even...

Sucks either way, it was a peaceful BLM office occupancy/protest originally,
albeit armed occupants/protesters...

Adrenaline & rage, maybe even a bias, I'm sure had something to do with the shooting too...
 
Too bad they didn't have a better look at what happened outside the truck
& the "actual" shooting of Lavoy, whether he was pulling a weapon or not ?...

Seems like red/rage after the 1st killing,
hard to hear anything outside warnings etc.

I'd like to think the LEO were above murder & needless rage/shootings...

I can se they may have not trusted the people in the truck too,
sad either way, now a man is dead & we still haven't seen any proof,
he was trying to draw on the LEO's...

I did hear him repeatedly say shoot me thou,
I guess they just assumed he was armed & dangerous & shot him...

Bad deal altogether IMO, out of control &
should have let them go, followed them to the sheriff,
they were allegedly supposedly turning themselves in {maybe ?}
 
Ask someone who has been shot, most people have the instinctive reaction to reach for or compress the wound.
